This is a terribly cold response to the death of a 24 year old woman, and it's disgusting that you attached a list of deaths in your comment as though Kim Sae Ron was to blame for them.

The fluffiest of fluffy dramas, 36 episodes of (mostly) angst-free watching.

But, damn. For a show about 5 courtships and marriages, the amount of skinship is near zero.

I know. Super annoys me. I've thought about canceling more than once because of that.

Netflix knows that their customers hate it when Netflix splits shows into parts and seasons unnecessarily, but they don't care. They do it, as we all know, to make people return, month after month. (There's a sweet spot for that, though--mess around too much or drag things out too long, and their customers will put their memberships on hold or cancel them while they wait for the shows they want to watch finish airing. They don't want that.)

I knew Yang was far too interesting a character to not make another appearance, and although his reappearance is accompanied by chaos and havoc, it's very entertaining. Loved episode 28 to bits. Can't wait for tomorrow's episodes.

Sort of off topic (you should excuse me) but I really don't think that picture of Shawn Dou is a good representation of him. I've seen him in a lot of roles, but if he ever had an expression like this, it was just once, for this picture.

Aw. I like this kind of drama that doesn't take itself too seriously, but also doesn't go in for slapstick. This might be delightful.

She was the lead in several classic dramas: Mars, Summer Desire, Meteor Garden.

I think women learn from role models--other women who mentor, support, lead--who are strong and independent. Many times, how you are as a woman is a result of what you were taught or shown about how a woman is supposed to be. If your models are gossipy, weak, disloyal, for example, that sets the stage for what you think is normal behavior.

This is very much why we need to be aware of what we're showing other women, especially young women and girls. They will be ladders for others if they're taught that it's the right way to be.

Still feeling a little pissy that I didn't know "Flourished Peony" was a 2-parter before I started it, and I'm not in the mood to find out that out the hard way again, so anyone know if this show has a 2nd part? The first part's only 30 episodes, which sort of suggests it . . .

It shouldn't need ANY research, is my point. If producers know there's a part 2 coming, even if they don't know when it can air, they should say so--the way the producers of "Joy of Life" did.

Feeling annoyed when you learn there's a part 2 you didn't know about before you started watching is completely reasonable.
