Run Yu crossed the line

With so much affection for this character, I had forgiven him for everything, including the pill repair, up until this episode, in which it is getting obvious that he changed the color of the dream, misleading Jin Mi into occusing Phoenix. I see where Jin Mi's investigation leads to: she's about to blame the pill for everything. If that was the authors' intention, then I've been watching another stupid love drama. I rather want to believe that there is more than that and ask this question again: what exactly did Xu Feng fall in love with? Her gap in gender identity? Her inappropriate touches that excited him mixed with avoiding behavior that excited him ever more, since he had been spoiled with too much attention from all the women of the world? He worded it as "her innocence". He was so blinded with his passion that he was unable to really see her and think clearly. But we can always blame it on her heart pill. In the real life relatioships, even if you're stabbed in your back, there are always two to blame. As far as the "parental control" is concerned, any natural developmental experience we block our kids against, they will still go through, yet in the thoughest forms you can get. I'm not sure who's experience is more horrible, Jin Mi's or her mother's.

A little "Hello" from the "Ashes"

which I completed just a week ago. Even though this is an earlier show than the "Ashes" it is nice to be welcomed by Mu Ci as someone called Hitoyama Hiroshi and by the emperor as train station manager :-)

Nope

I honestly tried. I'm dropping it here. Vertical storylines and investigations are not my type of thing. Remaining neutral towards BL and supernatural. Hope to see this cutie detective in something else that fits my taste.

first two eps - just bored. This one - puzzled and confused.

1. Why did that teacher accept the invitation from a student? Is this normal at all to party out with your students? 2. I understand that she was raped. Why didn't she report to the police? Is this a normal behavior for a Chinese woman or just for a professor in the city of dragons? 3. Why is she calling that female student "a family"? Just because she supported her at hard times? It is not properly explained and leaves a strange trace. I'll give this show a chance for a couple of more episodes but it doesn't look good.

The scene where Run Yu was first seen by Jin Mi in his true form...

...and she loved every second of it. I love fairy tales for their realism: when you unvail your true intimate self to someone and you are really seen and appreciated, this someone will remain your special person forever. That's why he fell in love with her. Beautiful

Liu Ying's daughter is just as badass as her mother :-)

Poor little Kunlun student, whoever he is. He's doomed :-) Now, my understanding of what happened to Jin Mi: Lord Dou Mu mentioned that her death is destined and she couldn't prevent from it. But what she could was to give her the ashes of Brahma that would help her to be reborn as immortal (in the hindu trinity of gods Brahma is the one who creates the worlds) if and after she passes the trial. Thus, she is reborn in the mortal world but remained an immortal, with all her memories preserved. The scene with Liu Ying and the flower testifies to that. They chose a peaceful life in the mortal realm.

OMG! Self harm again!

Mark my words, kiddos: whenever a main character dies, don't you ever trust this! I made that mistake in my very first Cdrama (TMOPB) and got a powerful PTSD. The character will find the weirdest ways to resurrect. The only one who didn't was Lin Shu of Nirvana in Fire and that made it the best Cdrama ever. Here, Liu Ying seems to be the healthiest character: she lost her husband and doesn't wander around trying to bring him back, doesn't booze, focuses on real life, takes over the demon realm. That's my girl!

I am having a deja vu!

This pathetic battle scene reminds me of Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, with the only difference that this time the main female lead saves the world and dies in her lover's arms. Since she got her heart open she's greatly advanced in her spiritual awakening. "If there is love, then why worry about sorrow and fear" ? Something her mother didn't get to understand. Now Jin Mi is the one who looks the most mature among the three (Phoenix has never been like that after all).

Can we get that Sincerity Stone to our mortal wedding ceremonies? ;-)

What a great way to shrink the number of marriages all over the world :-) That was a hell of a day! Being appointed a Heavenly Empress in the morning, make a hilarious escape from under Run Yu's nose and wed the ex before he is made aware of that ??

Run Yu is the most elaborated role on this show

And, as if all the capacities of the carachter weren't enough, Leo Luo is given the opportunity to exceed himself as a Night Immortal and play this delightful vignette as Pu Chi. Bravo!

Two brilliant dialogues

I'm so happy to have made it to the point when resolution starts and Jin Mi becomes so insightful and efficient (absolutely not the case for the most part of this show). She is still too harsh on the Night Immortal. Even though he plotted the broader scenario, she was the one who killed Phoenix.

Totally agree with the comment below

This is getting exhausting to watch. Once everyone in this drama is eager to get into mismatched marriage, why doesn't Xu Feng marry freshly widowed Liu Ying. At least he'll have a loyal friend alongside.

That was a heart shredding scene for all of us

I am sure that all the viewers' hearts broke into those bloody flakes :-) You liked "her innocence" (as he mentiones earlier)? Grow up, honey! And get the real taste of the conflict between your heart and your brain, your dignity and your connection!

The moment when the feather hairpin is smarter than its owner

I've never liked Xu Feng, but he is so sweet when he visibly suffers (almost crying) every time he has to strike Jin Mi and as she is taken away by our lovely Run Yu. Color blindness can work as a good karma ;-)

No rabbit barbecue tonight :-( That could be an impressive finale!

Turning into a white rabbit to sneak into the dark palace? Perfect camouflage :-) I don't want to believe that people can be so stupid. I prefer to think she really wanted to be noticed. And she was. Phoenix is getting his old nasty ways again as if she didn't kill him. And it is only now that I am noticing how good looking are Sui He and Phoenix as a couple. The visual chemistry is much better than with Zin Mi.
