Great acting, but maybe I look at the drama with different eyes, since I myself am a teacher and as a person who works in the system... some things just don't sit right with me. But when it comes to Korean school dramas, they mostly cover the same issues, years ago I used to wonder "Is the situation there that bad?", as the years went by, sadly, I stopped asked myself this question. Lee Sung Min's character was great, I wish there was more of him. Still, 7/10 from me, it was a good drama, just not something wow for me.
My only, but rather big problem with Payback is that the drama itself is called payback, they talk about revenge all the time, we have reached the final episode, but so far, none action has been taken against the 'bad guys'...
Someone please tell me the story doesn’t end in episode 10 or it’s going to feel like a disappointing ending.…
Currently, with the end of episode 9, they are at chapter 88 from the manhwa and the total of chapters is 95, so yeah, they are indeed very close to the end. The manhwa also has 14 side stories, so I guess they might include something from there as well.
This director is honestly cooking, her BL works are wonderful! The drama was truly a surprise in many aspects, I love crime stories, so this also pulled me in. The mains were great, their chemistry, the acting. The OST was also on point. When it comes to the storyline, it was predictable and the last episode was too rushed (They did actually go to a real beach, but there was low tide and bad weather, thus we got what we got xD). The first half was definitely better, I wish it truly had more episode, like it seems it was planned, but oh well, still a very, very good suspense/crime BL, 8/10 from me.
Seeing "Cheese in the Trap" in the recommendations list is sooo on point! Big Jane and Yoo Jung are such similar characters! Both rich, seem perfect on the outside, but hide many things. Yoo Jung was so good at his mind games, manipulation and he enjoyed making people suffer.
Duang, Duang, Duang! I need to put him in my pocket! When I think about it, the storyline doesn't offer something super unique, but the overall vibe just left me so happy, I smiled a lot, because of these dorks, gonna miss them.
I truly hope all the rumors about a S2 turn into a reality, otherwise, we would be so robbed since their story just began! Amazing setting, filming and acting, there's something truly special about this drama. Liu Yi was such a unique and amazing character!
It's ironic how many people hated the adaptation when it was announced and said that Min and Top are far from the characters from the webtoon. Ha, the joke's on them now, as a fan of the manhwa, I just love and admire how close it is to the original, props to the whole team!
A unique series, but it was lacking in many ways. There were some nice twists, but also things that didn't make much sense. Kim Seung Beom carried the series on his back. The others... let's say they did a decent job. The first half was definitely better and more suspenseful than the second.
The start was so refreshing and new! Se Gye and Seo Ri totally turned into one of my most favourite couples ever! I still miss them a lot! The drama had its downfalls and some things weren't proprely explained for me. The first half was definitely better than the second, but this drama truly feels special to me, because of the leads and their wonderful chemistry. Time-travelling/fantasy is something I really enjoy, so I'm really happy I gave this a chance. It will forvever stay in my heart.
Finally, there was some talking in a BL drama. There were still some misunderstansings and the plot didn't offer anything new, but the chemistry was good. Still, something was missing for me, but overall, it's on the good side of JP BL dramas.
Jay definitely has something going on with that pink bunny. To me, it almost looks like he’s obsessed with it.…
Since I've read the webtoon, I'll clear that speculation. Yes - Sun is the one in the bunny costume and they slept together with Jay. Currently, Jay doesn't know who the bunny was and is looking for him.

Because in episode 1 it was clearly stated that the year is 2021.

More like he has a "demon personality" ??
