Watching it in 2x speed makes it more bearable
Derailment has a promising start. It would make you question everything and keep you on the edge of your seat. However, they put too much focus on insignificant things that got draggy in the end. The sci-fi genre was just sitting there, waiting for a trigger to be pulled. The romance built tension and chemistry, only to not skyrocket. Basically the show focused on character and personal development of the female lead than the actual plot itself. There were arcs that could've been made shorter or removed. Too much flashbacks are not helping in building the drama because it just drags out. In the end, we get a 'that was it?' moment. Because it didn't really pan out the way it could've been.
The actors have great chemistry, but with the draggy scenes, the chemistry was not put to good use. Music was okay. Repetitive at times.
The show would be much better if they had only alotted 24 episodes for this. It lessens the drag and the sci-fi would be focused more.
