They got the license bc they paid Tencent t for it and Tencent decided what they paid is more than what they can get from ad revenue and subscribers in those markets so they gave up the rights in exchange for cold hard cash. If you are unhappy about it and you are a paying subscriber you should send them feedback through your app that you paid expecting to be able to watch it.

The emperor was angry and felt betrayed by her and turned to his consort who bore him a son first. But General Gu always held his promise and his military power over him to force him to make a Gu family prince the crown prince. Gu frequently wanted the crown prince to revolt and seize power making the father distrust the son.
And since the emperor was a prince that seized his brothers throne he can relate better to his other son.

Yes it’s fair to say she had 3 roles but for the most part she was just one character and the three didn’t appear at the same time, which is much more difficult. I think the problem is she isn’t consistent and when the camera is on her for extended periods you can see how she at times slips out of character. It hasn’t been noticeable here yet but it has happened in everything else I have seen her in. I dropped AOL before she shows up there so idk about that one.

Only watched the first 2 episodes - not nearly as bad as this thread makes it sound. The script writing is quite average but it’s clear that the source material is good but seems sad. So far Yuqi is actually doing a pretty good job in this, her acting here is a lot better than And the Winner is Love and Love Lasts Two Minds and the comments from those dramas seem to have unfairly dogged her here.

Yeah what enrages me the most is she is still shamelessly trying to make money out of WOH. If she believes he did wrong and takes down his WOH videos and stops selling his merchandise then I have nothing to say. I think they will have to cut down many many minor arcs and characters and just focus on main arcs like his mom's murder mystery. Yeah can't do much about the quarantine unless I just don't travel or move away from this covid-zero policy city.,,

No I am sadly not at a point in life where I can indulge in 20 volume novels. I have a 21 day quarantine coming up mid-February where I will try to read it but I will be working as well during that time so I doubt I will get that far.
