Well Chinese actors are frequently spotted in HK and Macau. I am very hesitant about stalking them. I won't name names but there are too many that are super disappointing in person... Luckily Yang Yang looks as good IRL as he does on camera.😅

I think in an earlier episode her brother tells ZZ its not appropriate for him to just visit her in her quarters because she has grown up into a young lady now. By implication, the last time ZZ met her, she was still a child whereas he was already a young man. Now that she is grown up of course he may not recognize her but she should recognize him.

I think the symbolism of Yaksha is that it is worshipped by the common people of Xiangzhou for protection because the local government has failed to protect them. Zhan Zhao should transform himself into Yaksha down the road as he fights for justice for the common people.

Yeah I think the body double is only for some difficult moves and its well edited in but it does cut her fight scenes into smaller moves rather than the one long continuous shots that Yang Yang is delivering. I don't mind either but this drama long on action and short on romance is attracting a different wuxia fan base that are a bit more picky about this kind of stuff.

I didn't read this novel but I read the original ages ago when I was still in my teens. I think this is an alternate timeline where he doesn't end up with Ding Yuehua. Haven't seen any fighting among c-nets. If you know the original story, you wouldn't like/agree with the casting of the 2FL. I suspect that is where most c-netizens are. They don't love the FL however bc of the heavy use of a body double for her fight scenes.

In this matter he and Bai Yutang are opposite characters. Zhan Zhao represents official justice vs Bai Yutang's vigilante jianghu justice. So we are not going to see him start doing that no matter the temptation.

Yang Yang found his niche. I think his acting is only very average but he is elevated by his ability to deliver really hard action scenes. Not many in the younger generation of c-drama outside of maybe Wu Lei can pull off something in the same caliber.

This drama was produced by Daylight Entertainment - even though Youku was a significant investor they don't control the distribution rights. Daylight only gave Youku China airing rights. Daylight sold the international rights to different platforms depending on which market based on who paid most.

I think you are missing why I am hesitant. The theme I am not keen to repeat is another empowerment business empire building story. But I will check it out if I have time.
