Welp - we can definitely just scratch immortality off my wish list... This is like an extremely sadistic version of that dreadfully sad movie Fifty First Dates.

He is cheap and often productions make up for paying high rates for traffic actors by cutting corners on good production teams. It kind of works as you can tell with the viewership nos and as I said, he gets good projects bc his rates are not high. But honestly, thx to his terrible aesthetics, I almost had to wear shades to watch TSL.

If you recall, he offered her a job as his accountant, which she firmly rebuffed. She wants to be her own boss and she takes investment from him, which she intends to make him a good return on. That makes him her investor and not her boss. I totally understand why she prefers it that way. So he only keeps and eye on her and as low key as possible helps her.

He gets excellent projects and has many resources but turns them into much worse dramas than they should be with his extra bright lights, terrible color schemes, blinding light into kiss scenes, cut into animal kiss scenes, bad editing and generally bad storytelling. I have to think two or three times before I watch his dramas. I think I have dropped/skipped more of them than I have completed.

Bai Lu looks stunning in MM but I didn't get past ep 1. It is made by that director Chu Yuibun the Destroyer that had me headed for the hills right away.

Zhang Yaqin is very gorgeous and she was absolutely fantastic in An Ancient Love Song. Hope she starts to get lead roles.

The FL can give a master class in flirting and she sizzles with Vin Zhang. Unlike other FLs she doesn't think a wide eyed dead duck stare passes for infatuation. She actually knows how to look at a man like she wants him. Since I was so lukewarm about the chemistry there, it is a really good thing Blossoms came out first or I may dropped if I watched TBL first.

Oh yeah, I have been keeping an eye out for Sun Zhenni since TTEOM. For me anyway, she really stole BL's limelight in that.
