There is nothing she can do to change that, as she discovered with her own mother. She can only change her own actions and temper Song Mo's reactions and that is precisely what she is doing. Song Mo was wronged in his last life and he reacted by doing wrong things as a result and never got his justice anyway. Two wrongs don't make a right so his bad karma reverberated back on him. She is trying to save him by helping him get justice by doing the right thing and create good karma as a result. I think that is all she can do bc at the end of the day Song Mo has free will and more agency as a man than she does as a woman. She can only broaden his thinking. Telling him she can see the future will just make him think she is bat shit crazy and achieve nothing.

She is deferential to her uncle because he is the head of the household and her father defers to him as such. So he has power over her marriage. Women during Ming dynasty did not have the right consent to their marriage, which is determined by their parents. And once she marries, all her property rights become her husband's family's. She is less afraid of her father because she knows he loves her even though he is weak. But she is genuinely afraid of her uncle and rightly so. He can marry her off and change her life overnight by doing so.

Well xianxias never make me that sad either bc they have so many lives they just die and keep getting reborn - I just roll my eyes. Its not a genre I like that much. I am thinking more of really tragic stuff like Royal Nirvana and One & Only.

I think I must have watched way too many tragedies where the protagonists lose at every turn. This just doesn't strike me as that angsty at all and I am actually enjoying how the protagonists are holding their own well against their enemies.

He was fantastic in Royal Nirvana. But he is just not that lucky. His best parts were cut and only aired a lot later.

Oh this is miles better than PG and KMLM. I even like it a lot more than Blossoms in Adversity. As for ZYC, I am very sure I wanted him first!😜😂

Was it necessary and justified so that we could see ZYZ mow down an entire cavalry to snatch the bride? Absolutely yes it was.
