Zhang Tianyang is a fabulous actor he has given many incredible performances. He was great as an antagonist in War of Faith, as the cowardly emperor in AJTL, 3rd uncle in LLTG, SSS, WRTW etc etc etc.

Dai Li is a real historical figure, the boss of Juntong/NBIS. He should be the same age as Kunwu as he joined the KMT army in 1925. I doubt they will slander a huge real historical figure like Dai Li by having him have an illegitimate son with a Japanese spy.
I now suspect Kunwu could be Deputy Zhu. He is Ke JP shadow he goes everywhere with him. And assuming YHS really sent that note, it was probably to test him. YHS probably guessed he is Kunwu and Ling Han is his illegitimate son with a Japanese woman. Wasn't there a scene of him sitting in his office trying to tear up a picture of himself with a woman? I can't find the episode anymore which is driving me nuts but I remember it was early in the drama. Milan could be his daughter. They are the family in the picture. I think the woman was killed, which is why there is a sword pointing at her. The reason I think Milan and Ling Han could be siblings is because they are both exceptionally cruel and smart. They must be related.

Yes I would rule out everyone that obviously died onscreen. But Li Liang for example was shot offscreen and Zhang Hua could have been wearing a bullet proof vest. Its even more suspicious that Ling Han's sniper shot him. And I need to go back and re-watch how BaGe died bc he has quite high billing for someone that exits so fast.
