If talking about the drama, from the start ML doesn’t want the throne. He just want the justice prevails. And…
I guess the current writer had to go back to finish kindergarden! 😅😂

I wouldn't say pathetic, but I understand what you're trying to say: You would like more suspense, a cat and mouse…
While I enjoyed the acting and the sweet scenes at the same time the village arc lacked intensity and felt like a genre switch. I don’t watch kiddy fairytales where I have to suspend disbelief and didn’t come here for that . I don’t think it fit the storyline or feel of the drama either but as someone pointed out it was clearly written by a different writer. Hopefully it was just a small digression and we go back to the drama I came to watch in the next arc.

I think that was just part of the fantasy. His Weibei army was wiped out.

They aren’t capable which is why the emperor decided not to indict the CP for both the latest and the Qingzhou incident.

My impression is he did. That’s why his ability to walk was such a big deal. And now that the Xiyan crown prince plans to claim her as his saintess bride he better be of equal rank to stake his claim .

Ah yes I forgot about them but didn’t the emperor point out they aren’t capable? One looks like another sleazebag.

In the beginning he talks about taking back what is rightfully his so that’s not true. But it look like his goals may have changed.

Yeah I think it’s quite sad bc it’s not the reality they are returning to .

Well this does not look like a great set up:
The romance scene was very sweet etc but c'mon, he is fighting for the throne. He is not in any position to be anyone's matrilocal husband. And if he takes down the CP, there is no one else to take over the throne. He is just lying to her and to himself that they are opening a fruit cake shop together.

Can please, someone tell the difference between a live-in husband and marriage? It seems it is not the same? Ha?
What she is talking about is a matrilocal husband (zhui xu/赘婿) or a live-in son-in-law. Unlike traditional marriages, the wife does not marry out into her husband's family, the husband marries in to his wife's family. Usually the wife/wife's family controls their wealth and usually the children take the wife's surname. This arrangement is common when the wife's family has wealth but no sons of their own to inherit. Usually younger sons from large families where there are many male heirs are happy with this arrangement. My Heroic Husband is a drama about a matrilocal husband. In this drama, Mei Lin was the only child of a successful and popular pastry shop and her parents had no sons or other children to take care of them in their old age. It makes sense she wanted a matrilocal husband. I think her real name must be Chun Hua/Spring Flower (which is also the Chinese title of the drama) bc their pastry shop was named Chun Hua Bakery or something like that.

hello, due to domestic issues (namely a 15 year old first generation smart TV), I haven’t been able to download…
I believe Youku doesn't have a smart tv app yet but if you have an Apple TV, their app is in the iTunes store. If your smart Tv has internet access you can also go to youku.tv.

I wanna make something clear For me is not about why 2nd cp scenes is a lot, but abt quality of whom the scenes…
I think they are hilarious. Its so nice to see a drama celebrate different beauty standards. But I do think Prince Han's fetish over her joy in food is getting more creepy than funny.

The main plot is either stalling or moving like a turtle. Took the whole ep for SY to pass an exam, not much else.…
Yeah they kind of stalled out on the two most interesting plot arcs while digressing into new and uninteresting plot arcs. Its not a good way to tell a story. They needed to close at least one of them earlier on and transition into the guts of the romance between the main CP. Meanwhile they have opened totally cliche and predictable and unnecessary sub plots like Duke Ying's daughter who is (shocker!) going to use her position to compel a power match with LSY!🤦🏻‍♀️

Avenue X's Kill Me Love Me review. Usually I will watch her reviews even if it goes against my opinions as I like…
Well I think 3 episodes is fair for a first impression review. And the first 3 episodes IMHO were awesome. But what do I know? I stopped watching her ages ago - kills too many brain cells.
