It is 4 years. Xiao Yu and Xiao Se are pretty much the same age and Xiao Se is 21 and Wuxin is 17 at the beginning…
Yeah in any case, its not important whether its 2 years or 4 years the point is Yu is older than Wuxin.

In the DY book, YDZ dies in the 8th year of Mingde reign. Wuxin was 5 at the time. And since Xiao Se and Xiao Yu were born before he became emperor, they cannot be 7 years old. They have to be at least 9. If I remember correctly a TBOY book reader posted Xiao Se's age somewhere in the character discussion thread as 21.

I think the writer just got sloppy with the timeline.

i know! this drama is a great creation to every level! perhpas the audience on MDL is more into romance or idols?…
Yeah the problem is the algorithm that is not disclosed to prevent manipulation of the rating but all these rating sites use similar approaches. The rating every episode is super annoying bc the intention should be for people to rate the episodes fairly so that you can see from the episode rating that if a drama is draggy, how long it goes on for. Instead its been hijacked by a bunch of users who have the misguided idea it will help boost ratings and rate everything 10 across the board!!! This makes the episode ratings completely useless.

Yups. And if you think about it, it is a fair way to do it - high or low scores by people who didn't watch the whole thing should not count as much. So all those rants against droppers who rate a drama low (duh, that's why they dropped) are totally misguided bc those low ratings don't count as much as someone who completed it and rated it low.

What's the age gap between Xiao Yu and Ye Anshi ??
It is 4 years. Xiao Yu and Xiao Se are pretty much the same age and Xiao Se is 21 and Wuxin is 17 at the beginning of TBOY.

Don't bother. Its nonsense. What will make a difference is if you mark the full number of episodes watched when you rate it. If you don't, your rating will be weighted by the number you indicated you watched out of the total episode count.

That's just a MDL myth perpetuated repeatedly by the many adolescent users here who waste time stressing out about ratings rather than substantively discussing the show. Every user gets one vote per drama. If you only watched 10 out of 40 episodes, drop it and rate it anyway, your rating is weighted by number of episodes watched. Rating every episode will not get your rating to count 40x!!! That is complete nonsense. It will however give you an overall weighted rating that reflects how you rated each episode. If you are going to rate them all 10, don't bother bc your rating will just be 10. And it will only count once. That is how all these sites are designed to prevent water armies from trying to manipulate ratings. If you have verified account, your rating counts a little bit more than if you have a non-verified account.

Yes the young Mo Yi tells NGCS his shifu is dead. But if you mean Qi Tianchen is alive in TBOY, he is Mo Yi's…
I believe QinTianchen is already the state preceptor so naturally he would not be at his sect but in Tianqi when NGCS visits.

thank you for this explanation 🐱 it's rare for citizens of one country to be killing each other like this,…
Nah, China has thousands of years of recorded history that started with a bunch of warring states. When Qinshihuangdi first united China thousands of years ago they each had different written script and languages/dialects. Even today many Chinese dialects are considered languages in their own right and it is still the country with the largest number of ethnic minorites in the world. When you look at the images of the Terracotta warriors they don't even look that "Chinese". So whether China spent thousands of years fighting each other or whether they fought and through conquest united many foreign states into one remains debatable. But when China fought the Liaos, the Mongols and the Manchus and they were all considered foreigners or foreign powers to the Han Chinese and their successor states. China is the original melting pot and not the USA that melted over thousands of years to the point they became pretty much one race. Meanwhile US loudly claims to be the world's melting pot but in reality it is a huge fallacy bc it is thousands of years behind in that respect.

What exactly was the talk and meet up with Mo Yi? He said something about his master being dead? Based on TBOY…
Yes the young Mo Yi tells NGCS his shifu is dead. But if you mean Qi Tianchen is alive in TBOY, he is Mo Yi's senior sect brother, not his shifu.

Yeah I hear you and these two dramas have too many characters. Baidu Baike has a really good dynamic relationship map that zooms in on the characters and has clips of some of them but you may need to partly navigate it in Chinese:

Absolutely love the show BUT .. I hate the fact that Baili Dong Jun and Ye Yun barely have any scenes together.…
After their first meeting when BDJ is 15, they don’t even meet again until much later in the novel. She only shows up when he is put under house arrest by his father for the bride snatching. The reveal she is Ye Yao only happens around the time NGCS leaves them for good in Xueyue city or about now in the drama . It’s brought forward by years in the drama to give them more time together. Some of their romantic dialogues were written in cringey forced modern language by the idiot screenwriter. But from here to the end they should have many scenes together.

No he is introduced early on as the masked leader of Baixiao Tang. He is the one drinking with BDJ in a mask before his academy test. He also fights LCS on the way out of Tianqi city before LCS turns into NGCS.
