He is too good looking and wants to make sure people are spared from being distracted by his beauty. It’s super annoying bc the actor is hot and the director is a clod that doesn’t know the meaning of fan service to covert him up all the time.

Believe it or not the actress is actually incredibly gorgeous irl. The TBOY stylist must have gone out of their way to style her so badly.

There are lots of character intros to get through but only a few of them are going to matter so if you miss most of them it won't matter.
Thx but I am going to pass on Snowfall. I am too busy to even keep up with what I am watching and I dislike the vampire genre. But I hope you enjoy it.

It's quite enjoyable even though for me, its not as good as TBOY. I didn't expect it to be so I am not disappointed. Even though it was written after TBOY, its a prequel so you already know what happens to the best characters. Its still interesting if you like them from TBOY but its anti-climatic bc you know how their story ends. The TBOY novel is an 8.5 on Douban but DY is only 7.3; both are good scores but the original content is not deemed to be at the same level and it shows. I don't like prequels that are written after bc the writer is unfortunately constrained by his earlier work.

I like the color palette and camerawork in DY better than TBOY bc I dislike Yin Tao's over-lit sets and garish CGI. But unfortunately the fight scenes in DY are a fail for me. I think they look nice but CGI fighting don't qualify as action scenes no matter how pretty they look. I think the acting is pretty good though. I like HMH a lot better than LHY, esp since he is using his own voice. He Yu is also a big bonus on DY. He going to grow up to be at least as good an actor as LXY. Overall if you don't need it to be TBOY, there are a lot worse dramas out there to watch.

That's terrible!!! Who decided to go edit the cast list like that??? People should know better than to make spoiler edits. It ruins shows like this for everyone. When I am done watching I am going to try to get all the the spoiler edits removed but I am very behind. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah I mean you can post stuff to him in English. He and Chen Feiyu both went to university in Canada, they should be fluent in English. You can always tell who were athletes or have martial arts training when you watch fight scenes. Unfortunately HMH clearly does not but he isn't the worst. His fight scenes just don't look as good as He Yu's. But there is a lot worse out there - some that have zero core strength they can't hold their poses or do their turns properly.
