I couldn't agree more. This is the problem with Chinese actors. They are so status conscious they must always play the titular lead role even if it is a very boring role. Yang Kang is actually the true lead and the most interesting and complex male character of this story even though he is an antagonist.

And it was the Aizong emperor of Jin who sent envoys to warn the Song that after they were done with Jin, the Mongols would turn against them. This proved to be true but the Song did hold out at Xiangyang for 30 years. Yes indeed Guo Jing is a fictional figure but the facts of history are far from a fairytale. Jin Yong was quite thorough about that and a lot of the battles he recounted that Guo Jing allegedly participated in did indeed take place.

I like Ci Sha but I don't like his Guo Jing. I think its not consistent. He oftentimes comes across as very intelligent and complex and then he turns dumb and simple. Its like bipolar Guo Jing.

What I understand is Tencent licensed them as individual dramas and not sequels of each other. If it is like LYF it will take 5 years to complete airing!!!🤦🏻‍♀️
