I am happy to just eat Hawker food but we are trying The Great China restaurant for my dads birhday. it’s breakaway chef’s from Overseas Chinese restaurant. I also like Sri Lankan food at Aliyaa and its sister restaurants Nadodi which is at the Four Seasons and Yarl which is simpler and vegetarian friendly. Their signature Kerala crab curry is to die for!
Love assam laksa! But I don't suggest eating it watching LYF2. It could go down the wrong way; very risky! Enjoy Penang - it'ss great! My folks used to keep a condo there but they got too old to go regularly so they sold it.

I am quite sure the Jin empire never included Samarkand. They are Manchus and their empire spanned present day Northeast China. The Mongols/Genghis Khan did take Samarkand around the time of this drama which makes sense as it was on their way to conquer the Central Plains. The Jin capital during the time of this drama should either be present day Kaifeng or Beijing. This story is set after the Jiankang incident which is when the Song rulers were humiliated and ousted from their capital of Bianjing (Kaifeng) forced to retreat South to Linan. The Jin occupied first Kaifeng but then later moved their capital to Beijing.
