Tbh I think its just to drag out the story. According to book readers, the mystery plot can be solved in 6-8 episodes.

So far a decent watch. Though I am not that excited about the digression into Guangming's domestic issues. It just seems like so many of these so called investigative dramas like last year's Echo turn into a sad and depressing exploration of infidelity and domestic strife. Ugh!
