And yeah people like to be loud and on MDL it’s fine it but on Weibo it’s just asking for it. The NRTA doesn’t see the final cut and edit. It is left to the production to make the approved content fit the episode guidelines. They can cut it anyway they want to fit 1800 minutes. Since they are running 55 minute episodes it should be 36 episodes in total.

Because he is a very talented asshole who thinks the rules don’t apply to him. They were warned early on that they were going over the time limit but they refused to cut the episodes and continued to go over by 10 minutes which is 20 pct. When they could have just speeded up or cut the dumb flashbacks or song singing. No, they just thought bc Global Times praised them they were above the rules. So finally the regulators got fed up and said fine 36 episodes make it work. It’s DUMB on the part of the production by the govt is right. Fair is fair and a rule is a rule. To put it in perspective if they go over by 40x10mins=400 minutes that is 9 more 45 minute episodes so this is really a 49 episode drama!!!!

Hopefully they tone it down. Rules are rules everyone has to abide by them for the system to be fair. If they make more noise there is a chance this whole thing gets pulled. So the fans should just shut the fuck up and go back to their knitting.

There is an episode limit of 40 x 45 minutes or 1800 minutes in total. This is a RULE everyone knows about. This drama has consistently aired 55+minute episodes. So 36 x 55 minutes is exactly 1800 minutes. Yu Zheng thought he could bend the rules for himself. The govt is just making it crystal clear that he can’t. It makes complete sense and it is FAIR. No one should get to break the rules just bc they are Yu Zheng.

Let’s wait and see how this news is clarified. That said this drama so far has blatantly gone over the 40 eps x 45 mins rule by about 10 minutes per episode which is over 20 pct. I don’t know if this latest rumor is true but it would not surprise me if it were. Cutting it to 32 episodes is the correct penalty so f t is 36 it is letting them off lightly, The censorship review process approves the content without paying attention to the final edit. It is up to the production to cut it to fit guidelines. YZ is an arrogant guy who thinks he can do what he likes but unluckily for him this drama has gotten too much attention, Let’s see where the final adjustment ends up .

There are too many remakes of these stories I am not sure which version of Heaven Sword you watched. I personally think the best version is still the Tony Leung version. The most recent one is only so-so and Yuckee Chen was a total flop as Zhao Min.

Its a huge cast so its best to not muck around with it until all the drama credits are out.
