I think the director was trying to forestall the obvious question of wouldn't her gender be discovered while bathing... but I think he went a tad too far for those of us with strong olfactory sense.

I think the action scenes in this drama are really good and properly done.

Tyvm. I can definitely see it playing out the way you describe as well. I think the ending definitely leaves the door wide open for them to continue the story. It’s too bad GJM is so controversial I don’t think this did well enough to get that second season, although iQiyi made lots of money from it.

I don’t think he’s like the SSS ML either but I think finding out your father was crown prince on not just a border general changes things. And then of course being targeted by the emperor…

I don't think he is that dumb. He is quite cunning and he has just been manipulating the FL. He knows she has hero complex and he is trying to keep her by his side by getting her to rescue him and making her invested in his cause. Look at his speech to the troops. The guy has ambitions and he knows how to pull people's strings. Don't be fooled by his foolish facade.

Well the ML looks playful but he is quite cunning. He keeps using A Mai to help him out bc he knows she is clever and so far he has diverted her from her agenda. The 2ML is supposed to be a very ruthless, vicious general. I am sure it’s all diluted down in the show but none of them are the typical do gooder hero type.

Well I was told that the FL has bad taste in men. Most of them are assholes in different ways. I am sure for censorship reasons it was changed in the drama but I wouldn’t assume they are all good guys. If the ML ends up in battle for the throne he can’t be that good. And I like Zhang Haowei best in grey roles.

It is possible but I think they should try not to change the story too much bc the novel has a very high 8.4 Douban rating.

I believe in the book all 3 men like A Mai. The drama could change stuff around.
