The plot does not explicitly say that Shenyao and Yushan are together so you can draw your own conclusion. IMO, I think they are together bc the director puts them in the same frame in almost every shot. Since Shenyao was not part of Class 11, there is no reason for him to be there other than as Yushan's +1. Finally, Yushan and Li Ran don't even acknowledge each other. Their story clearly did not end well.

True and it would probably have been fine if the guy wasn't really in need of care or if he didn't kick him. He didn't mean for it to go down that way but he did make some well meaning but ultimately bad decisions.

He chose to enter an aeronautical school instead, probably nearer to his grandma. Obviously he and Chen Yushan's paths diverged after that.
