They are just cut in different places. You notice there is sometimes "left over" footage that goes on for some time before the opening music. CCTV has fixed broadcast time slot vs the episode length that can sometimes go over 50 mins and they have ads to fit in as well. So they must be cutting the episodes in different places.
Is your concern about access? You can watch it with Chinese subs on Tencent Video's Chinese site. You can subscribe with your WeChat account. I am sure there will be an English subbed version available but probably on different sites for different regions.

Yeah JOL has a fair bit of humor that can get lost in translation. Some of it was so local Chinese I missed them too. But I saw the Viki subs were pretty good at explaining some of it and there was a lot of quite universal kind of humor as well.

I also had trouble with the first 2 episodes of NIF but after that I was fine. JOL took me a long time to watch as well - I stalled out at ep 5 a few times. But I ended up loving both. That's why I will try Reset once more.

I mean to give Reset another try again some time next year. I tried it 2x but just couldn't get into it even though I really like the cast. and abandoned it mid-way each time. I think I have very low patience for repetitive scenes so all these groundhog day kind of stuff never quite work for me.
