This is supposed to be a girl power themed drama! It’s so unacceptable to have the lead girl off herself bc she can’t go on without her man!!!!

I felt that if they were going to kill them off, they should have just gone down together in a last mission.

What bothered me about it most is she chose to die. What kind of message does that send to everyone that loses a partner? Beyond that it kind of destroys the character. That's why I am really mad at them. If she blew up as part of the mission bc there was no avoiding it, I would be ok with it.

He is a very good actor, best in grey roles actually. He also did an amazing job in a BL role in Court Lady. I hope he goes places.

Usually it’s a team of a few led by one main one.

They tried to do too much and had too many repetitive love scenes that could have been used to iron out the plot better instead.

I think it was all a dream so I didn’t pay attention to what the kid said. I think they died bc this is not a xianxia or a xuanhuan and NYZ pretty much died dead onscreen. It’s impossible a dozen Beipan soldiers are so incompetent they don’t know how to kill someone dead. But if you believe in magic pills it’s all good too, whatever makes you happy.

That’s why there is speculation she is dying, probably of a broken heart. The final clue the boy is not from her world is his horse was a gift from Uncle Ding, the red emissary that died protecting LTG. He is leading her to reunite with everyone including Shisan. And that is why it’s Chu Yue and not Yang Ying in that scene. This is not my interpretation I just think it was her imagination but that is how one of my friends saw it.

Cast looks great. But no time to start.

Yes the acting by the young actors had some rough edges and the dubbing for LTG noticeably didn't match the lip movement which made it worse. But they had some natural charm that partly made up for it. And good point about Ruyi not jumping ship until she knows they are out of the woods. After all her disciples are on the front lines.
