Exactly -like Brotherhood of Blades kind of heavy ugly action that made me flinch and cower behind my sofa thinking he was gonna get stab stab stabbed any moment! I did think in Kunning Palace Yan Lin's action scenes were really good - raw, powerful and ferocious but that was not a wuxia. And Donnie Yen still delivers - it was the only good thing about Sakra. All this spinning I don't love. It looks nice but gets so repetitive after awhile and its quite dangerous. Cheng Yi just injured himself really badly doing it.

Lol - yeah the fights are quite artistic and beautiful with a lot of spinning but kind of wimpy in terms of hard hitting impact. Quite fashionable these days, MLC was like that too. But completely unrealistic, like they are gonna be so dizzy after all that it'd be a miracle they are able to kill anyone. The stunt crew is doing a lot of the really dangerous stuff - I remember there were injuries among the martial arts stunt crew and of course LYN got hurt too. I think the production was sued.

This is a story about assassins. When I see that I expect it to end in a sea of blood and the main character(s) dying is par for the course. As long as it was a good a worthwhile death, I am fine with it. A chicken shit Disney HEA ending would be a big fail for me. It doesn't fit this kind of genre.
