Well I am quite sure he wouldn't like to be pretty. And while he is definitely not my type, I think he has an interesting face, which is more important than being conventionally good looking. Lots of the top actors are not conventionally good looking - Zhang Ruoyun, Lei Jiayin, Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu to name a few. His acting is still a work in progress but it's quite good here although he lacks a strong screen aura. But it suits his spy role here though so I think it's a good casting.
