From @Skibbies post it may have been shot at different desert locations (there are many deserts in China) but I read some time back that the story should be loosely set there as that is the desert with the most ancient tombs/discoveries.

It's got more nuances but I will explain it in more detail in my review as I am still thinking it through and have to rewatch a few parts to figure some things out.

express package only for mobile app? bought it but not reflecting on the TV app
It works on iPad/iPhone and computer only. But if you have a smart TV that has Chrome, you can login to iqiyi,com on it and watch it AFTER you buy the express on your device. Navigation a bit cumbersome but it is a hack that worked for me.
