Both Madame Wuji and Shangjue have to be considered unreliable narrators. It is their account of events and neither really matches the known facts. Huanyu and SW Hongyu are not able to testify/tell their version of the story. We do know what happened up to the point Huanyu interrupted SW Hongyu and Shangjue's conversation. The bride assassin was not in the room at the time.

It's all speculation, no one really knows bc the novel is not fully out yet. There were probably some suggestive scenes in trailers but c-drama trailers have always been cut in the most misleading possible ways.

Idk but technically until Elder Yue died, he must stay in the back mountain but obviously he's been out with Jin Fan before so I think he knows his way around. If it was him, he may have visited Zheng Nanyi to find out if his lover/Yun Que made it out safely. He may not know that she is dead.
