Yes I agree completely. That is what a rational Dowager Empress would ask for. That way the previous dynasty's line continues through his daughter and the legitimacy of the new emperor is also secured. This part of the story doesn't make that much sense. The only thing is those two brats together will bring the kingdom to its knees.
