During the license period for that specific region it should be exclusive. but maybe the platform is still allowed to air it. Just no free to watch for non-VIPs. They get more $$$ if they sell exclusive rights. to Netflix and it is by region. TTEOM for example is not available on Netflix for me.

Yeah so that would connect many dots but this is not hard to do right. They could have just made him past tutor of the princess and her bros for example and let his relationship develop with Fang Yu instead of go from zero to hero.

I agree I think NLB was more of a hilarious parody but was beneath it all was very superficial. This one has a much more serious tone and more depth.

It definitely seems that way and Fan Yu is a bit foreshadowed but it's still a big character jump from bullying GJS's detractors to being a GJS detractor himself. And I can't imagine how he and LZS suddenly became confidantes. I know the novel was much longer and its obviously condensed but the drama should not have to depend on the novel to connect the dots.

How did LZS be imperial tutor? And why does he already seem to have a relationship with Fan Yu? Didn't he grow up in Youzhou with his father far from the capital? How do they know each other so well?

I think yes for sure these are passion or passionate projects and it shows and some of them also did not have to go through censorship and it showed as well. But that part has changed everything has to go through it now.

OMG did she do that for real? I boycotted her after the ZZH scandal I didn't realize she still thinks she is the only person who understands Chinese in this world! I actually think the best way to deal with her is just ignore her. It is hilarious she apparently panned Destined as well and there was zero, not one comment on it on the MDL Destined page. People didn't even bother to mention it or post Avenue what? It made me laugh bc I am sure she was miffed no one gave a toss about her opinion enough to even mention it.

Yeah I heard about the Hidden Love fiasco - allegedly she panned it after 2 episodes, which is ridiculous! And yes I agree this is a really fresh drama with a lot of heart in it and the plot design is clever. Just the airing schedule is very frustrating.
