That’s the point - a consistently evil character can redeem herself with a good deed but TTJ who was harmless by comparison couldn’t? I make the comment half in jest to highlight the sense of injustice and dissatisfaction the ending conveys.

The big missing scene for me is the one where they kill off Bitchang, closing the last remaining loose end. I am still mad about that.

I think Yun Xiang already busted her in episode 3 but he wasn't the only one. Even that rather foolish Su Mingyu and Jin Shiliang figured it out from the way she fights that she is from Lingyuan. Mo Bufan also knows, that's why he keeps warning Yun Xiang about being blindsided. But YX let her weak explanation slide and instead made an alliance with her that he trusts she will keep.
