Hemu is supposedly known for its powder snow that is similar to Niseko which is where we normally ski in Asia but I haven't been bc its just easier for me to go to Niseko:

My friends sent videos of the runs as well - the slopes there are not at all crowded, unlike Niseko this time of the year and the runs are much longer, almost Whistler/Blackcomb like. They are extreme skiers they even do heli-skiing and very particular about their snow - many resorts in China have icy snow. Nanshan of course is great but it is not powder snow and very crowded nowadays and the crowd can be kind of reckless and dangerous.
Can you ski anywhere near where you are? I didn't go for 3 years during covid but went again this year and it was so great to hit the slopes again. You should try to go!
