Yeah she is keeping quiet with her drama commitments bc she got ousted from a committed drama recently bc of toxic fans. The investors balked and insisted they replace her, so the production company had very little choice. They still did it in a terrible way. But my understanding is she has some great projects in the pipeline but they will probably not officially announce her involvement until the capital is locked in.

I believe 3or 4 of them are confirmed and the rest are pretty close. This role doesn't suit her best talents and she is on the rise since The Knockout. She'd be silly to take a S2.

I like the CP so I hope he is a good guy or at least just a grey character. But he definitely would make a good surprise twist mastermind. And I think there is a very dangerous one in Qian bc otherwise Mu Yan wouldn't remain in hiding.

Yeah they'd definitely have to get a different FL bc she has 7 committed dramas coming, most of which haven't been shot yet. They could continue a different series in the same fantasy world but tbh I am not sure its that great of a fantasy world if Qi-Qian can't procreate.

Yeah I think Mu Yan is too obviously set up as the villain. But he is a fabulous chess player and he is actually the rightful heir to the Qi throne. HZ’s father deposed his. He has been laying bread crumbs for us all the way. And if he plays chess in real life the same way then we will get a nice end surprise move/twist. I don’t love the small cases but so far I like how they are dribbling out small clues along the way on the big case. You just have to pay close attention to see them. Not saying the CP is for sure a bad guy but I think he puts Qian interests first. I will be disappointed if Mu Yan is the villain bc it’s so cliche the scary scar faced man in a mask and a hat. Not to mention it would make HZ a terrible judge of character.

I think it is possible and the show is popular enough they'd probably do it if it weren't NPC meetings right now. Their Justice in the Dark just got put on hold, no point risking another show.

Yes he is a very engaging kid actor I wouldn’t mind to see his role continue but I am not sure how.

Well I don't expect that to happen until we are 3-4 episodes from the end but if they are going to do more cases they should be more interesting or they should have some progress on the diplomatic front instead.

XiongChang is just a more pompous and classic form of address. It carries a tone of respect for his status. Gege is less archaic and less formal. I guess they were not close since he was away cultivating for so long.
