Title The Blood of Youth Spoiler
the emperor just gave each of the prince a different scroll? (2nd prince's had 6th prince, and 6th had 2nd) what's…
Reposting:
The two scrolls was absolutely brilliantly written. The emperor put both Chong'er and Chuhe to a final test. Chuhe didn't need a scroll, he was already chosen by the sword (Heaven's will) in front of the entire kingdom. He could have changed his mind at any time and destroyed the one with Chong'er's name on it. If challenged the second scroll would have proven his claim. That is why he felt free to try out the throne to make sure in his own mind. When Chong'er sent him the second scroll, it is to tell Chuhe that he was their father's first choice and to show he trusts him and Chuhe reciprocated by destroying it in public so that the Langya Mutiny can never replay in their time.

Yes indeed, I am more interested in the background stories. The cases are more procedural.

Title A League of Nobleman Spoiler

The author claims that outside of the characters, the plot/cases were changed beyond recognition and tried to disown credit in it. So I am not sure if that part is still going to hold true. Plus I don't think Tencent ever went that far beyond trying to give it more of a BL vibe but in this environment, even light flirty stuff may not fly. I read the first ~10 chapters of the novel and then skimmed the rest bc I didn't think the cases were that tightly written so maybe the changes are a good thing. I think the book reviews also point to plot/logic flaws.

Probably only the more flirty scenes were cut 🤞🏻, which is a bit of a shame but I am not watching this for that anyway...

Originally it was 24 episodes. They edited it to 30 episodes and then it was cut to 29. They kept it at 29 but its quite clear that there were more cuts bc they are no longer 45 minutes.

Out of interest, LJ gets called "Peizhi" by Wang Da Ren. Is it a title? Nickname?
I believe it is a curtesy or style name. It is a name usually given to scions of privileged families upon adulthood. It was used a lot in The Untamed - most of the main characters had one. I believe a well known Youtuber that I no longer subscribe to made a video about the topic. You can search for it if you want to know more.

No I assume Obama is well informed of the facts of the situation; better than you or I considering his access. You quote one article written by one journalist and that is the gold standard for the absolute truth? I didn't state a specific view, just the highlighted the importance of considering an issue from all sides and not just one. I at least read the article you quoted before posting besides having read extensively on the issue for years. I also personally know journalists who have written on both sides of the narrative. I only mean to point out it is not as simple and as black and white an issue as you think. Did you even watch the Youtube before replying? Ignorance is bliss. Please do continue to enjoy immersing yourself in it and narrowing your horizons on your moral high road.

Title Three-Body Spoiler
Yes towards the end
Of course not literally but I imagine in the adaptation they would have to be depicted physically. But they were described in all the bits about the watch post and the experiments with the two protons and experimenting with sending them toward earth etc. Pretty sure that was all part of the first book.

As for the Uighur issue, China has harsh laws, especially anti-terrorism laws but they are not directed against any specific ethnic group. There is also the non-Western biased narrative on this issue. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

Couldn't agree more. I have never rated anything else 10 after NIF. That said, TBOY is a very fun and addictive drama that I won't forget anytime soon.

Great review! I am also very happy to discover new wuxia writers to take the genre in a new , more positive direction from Jin Yong and Gu Long.

So far, there isn't really any. Not sure why its tagged a wuxia bc its not.
Its still a good historical drama with lots of intrigue.
