This show should just end here - let the rebels in to roast the fat emperor on a spit while the lovers sneak out in the chaos and ride off into the sunset.
Prince Langya! I haven't seen much of him, but he seems ethical and a born leader. He led his army of many thousand…
I think the Langya line is the rightful line of succession. But once he takes the throne there will forever be the suspicion that maybe his father did rebel after all. And within the Mingde line, outside of Chuhe, none of the princes are that worthy although Bai wang would be quite competent. Considering Chuhe’s relationship with Ye Anshi it would also bring peace at the border between the central plains and the so called demon clans. But that would mean Xiao Se and Wuxin would both live lives they don’t want. It’s a tough call the right way to end this.
Did he at one point think it was Bai Wang's Master? I vaguely remember that they had a convo about it. But can't…
In Xiao Se’s conversation with his shifu - he suspected either Bai Wang’s shifu Yan Zhantian or Chi Wang’s shifu Luo Qingyang. Later on according to the healer the attacker was someone with a lot of yin or feminine qi so most likely a eunuch or a woman.
the producer needs to increase the budget for army scene. OMG, the largest army in beiling which was Langya army…
Eagle Flags’s battle scenes were phenomenal but the budget for Eagle Flag was ridiculous- several multiples of this. So it’s not a fair comparison. And sadly its storytelling flagged toward the end. Qin Dynasty Epic also has movie level battle scenes.
I also have a lot of questions, I know a few spoilers but not enough to make a theory. It was said that the former…
Yes, the poison was actually meant for Chuhe. And I am pretty sure the masked man who killed the eunuch is Xiao Se's shifu bc it was the same mask he was wearing when he shows up in either episode 2 or 3.
