The Fan minister is such a lukewarm antagonist. His scenes are skippable especially when he's in his household.
He is super annoying. He always pulls the same childish temper tantrum kicking role in every drama he is in. Its funny the first time and then just not.

After 4 episodes, I’m not entirely hooked yet but this drama is interesting enough to keep going. Not bothered…
With emphasis on anti. PXR's character bugs me too. Its like everything that happens just rolls right off her back.

Does the ML have a quiet personality or easygoing?
He is definitely low key but he is an extremely difficult and picky eater.

It says this drama is suspended from December 4th....does anyone know for how long or why?
China is in an official state of mourning for former President Jiang Zemin’s death until Dec 9th. His state funeral is on the 6th. This is unlikely to resume until after the 6th at earliest and more likely after the 9th. Most dramas, especially high popularity ones have been suspended.

He’s not the « villain » : I think he’s kinda like Li Chengying in Goodbye My Princess, a villainous male…
Yes I know but the emperor was the one who schemed to provoke the war and he personally killed the Yebei king, would have killed Princess Rui and his direct actions led to the death of the FL’s father. While Jie did commit a mistake bc his son did not carry out the instructions, a case can be made for leniency and simply stripping him of his position and making him a commoner or something like that that is already quite punitive. Of course he is the emperor the ends justify the means. I am ok with that I am just finding it increasingly difficult to understand how the FL can fall for him.

Actually i think he's not a bad person at all. He's someone that cared about people . But people keep misunderstanding…
Yeah I just think it wasn’t a mistake to die for and especially after long loyal service. But I guess that is why I will never be emperor.

Villain isn’t quite the right term. He’s more of an antagonist I’d say because his character is quite grey.…
I haven’t gotten to that part yet but I definitely sense many cut scenes that make it harder for me to empathize with him.

Yeah it is that TROP kind of outcome I am dreading. I had much less of a hard time with the Ning Yi CP than I do with this one.

I agree but I am having increasing difficulty believing the FL can fall for him after all he has done to Yebei and now the Jie family. It’s a definitely a dark story despite the attempts at humor.

This is set in Novoland which is a shared fantasy world co-created by several well known Chinese writers. If you…
I don’t think they are among the official Chinese ethnic groups today. But in history there were many nomadic tribes so it is possible but more likely they are just fictional.

So Yebei is a tribe during ancient China, like Princess Agent?
This is set in Novoland which is a shared fantasy world co-created by several well known Chinese writers. If you google it there is a lot of information on the different tribes and races in Novoland and its “history”.

This drama looks fluffy to the max. Can anyone confirm or deny?
It is indeed a fluffy feel good slice of life. Not something to over analyse or expect realism from.
