Honestly the last scene was š¤®š¤®š¤®, Bc Hu Fei is already looking out for them. And her daughter is way too young for HF in this version. She is more the right age. I really hated the last scene.

It is really a bit of a different spin on Detective Di. I think you will like it.
There are lots of Detective Dee films and dramas but Tsui Hark only made three of them. They are Detective Dee and Mystery of the Phantom Flame, The Rise of the Sea Dragon and The Four Heavenly Kings. I think the first two were the best I didnāt like Four Heavenly Kings as much but it was still pretty good. Tsui Hark is one of the best known HK film directors for his action and special effects. He also made the wildly popular Once Upon a Time in China series.

This has exceeded all my expectations so far. I keep thinking its going to bomb out but even though the latest case was a bit predictable, it was still so well done and far from a bomb out. We are in the final inning, let's hope it is a home run!!!

Doesnāt Xiao Mei have a father in Red Flower Society? I assume that is where she and FKAās twins are ultimately headed back to? It wouldnāt make sense to raise them in a nunnery since they are boys. And they have high hostage value to Red Flower Society against FKA and their alleged grandfather the Qianlong emperor.

Itās an adaptation of Fox Volant of Snowy Mountain but many things have been changed so itās ties to this story at this point are very loose. I enjoyed it, the fight scenes are pretty good.
