She is a selfish character. She knew TGN must kill MRF to get MRL back. She just chose to close both eyes bc it is what she wants. She only turns on TGN when she realises she is only his trophy. It is all about her.

I agree. I didn't love the ending. MRF death was not necessary it was a needless sacrifice. And yeah that was out of character for MCH. But what got me most was how poor Hu Fei is left with responsible for looking out for the annoying Nan Lan.
