That was great for the time in place where that was a man speaking to a child woman. But in Part 2, I want to see CSS grow up and have a relationship that is more equal with LBY so hopefully that just becomes a fabulous romantic memory they tell their grandkids about.

I am ok with political intrigue, I actually enjoy that more than family drama. But it looks like may devolve into harem catfighting kind of palace politics which is my personal avoid genre. I really hope it doesn't linger too long there bc that will make Part 2 worse than Part 1 for me anyway (and I haven't and won't rate Part 2 until it ends).

It was outrageous. To add insult to the injury you could only pay to watch it on a small screen. Which means people who buy the VIP to watch in high resolution on a big screen have no options. Tencent deserves being punished by the government for such unconscionable commercial practices.

I am watching The Heart of Genius. It is very good but it is not a period drama.

I am behind on this, only at 15. But wow this is a super sad story. Pei Zhi is a much better, more complete person in cheese world. While the strawberry world favours Ji Jiang. They both want Zhaoxi. I am biased towards team Ji Jiang. But sadly I think both Zhaosheng and Zhaoxi are better off in cheese world...

Pei Zhi's dad actor was Changge's uncle the emperor in TLB. I love this actor.

Also looking forward to a better Part 2 but a bit nervous about Part 2 tbh. Think its gonna be palace politics and harem themes heavy.

From LBY's warnings I would guess there is an agenda. But there are lots of nasty people in the palace... she may just be looking for allies.

Heheh... I would have paid to watch a scene of seaweed being stuffed down her throat!!!

I am also wait and see on the romance, I just think it hasn't really developed enough to be called a romance yet.

Interesting point, maybe she has PTSD... She was so heartless and unnatural as mother I was waiting for a plot twist that Shaoshang and Yangyang were accidentally switched at birth or something.
