The book is what it is and to the extent it distorts science it has been accepted as fiction / literary suspension of disbelief long ago. Netizens with a problem with the original content just shouldn’t watch. As for what makes it through censorship we shall see but I have heard it will not be as bad as feared.

The palace politics are starting. I am not sure things are as smooth as they look on the surface between Empress Xuan and Consort Yue. Third Prince is Consort Yue's son and he seems to be gunning at the Crown Prince who is Empress Xuan's son. He must resent not being the Crown Prince considering the Emperor favours his mother. And LBY seems to not favour the Crown Prince or Crown Princess either. Finally Consort Yue's brother Marquis Yue is the one that caused the delay in dispatch of troops to Gu City. He seems to be scheming with his niece the 3rd Princess supposedly behind Consort Yue's back. But is she just distancing herself to provide plausible deniability? Marquis Yue is gunning at the Wen family who are allied with Empress Xuan - is the goal to take down the Empress and the Crown Prince along with her? Where does LBY stand in this mess?

Yeah I think Tencent cast it well but I dislike both the director and the scriptwriter. I am just hoping they stick to the book. I think Netflix cast Benedict Wong as Wang Miao and I can't even guess who the other actors are supposed to be playing but I just can't see the book characters come to life in any way shape or form. Plus the GOT scriptwriters did great for 3 seasons and then crashed and burned for the rest...

Even if they refuse to combine the pages, the least they could do is start the episode count for Part 2 from 28. But it seems reasonable user feedback makes no impact here.

The Three Body Problem is coming soon. That is the best science fiction novel written in the last decade. Netflix hired the Game of Thrones writers to shoot a competing version but I think the Tencent version has a better cast.
