She loved Marquis Zhuge but married 13 Doom to drive a wedge between them. 13 Doom killed her in the end. It is a parallel story of SMZ (Zhuge) and BCF (13 Doom). And Recluse Tianji who is WXS shifu who could not keep his sworn brothers together. That is what WXS is trying to tell them, to not let history repeat itself. He may succeed briefly but sadly I don't think it will last. Also note that 13 Doom is the one that locked LC in the room with the goblin in the last episode.

I think the director is toying with us. There are clues hinting at both FYK and BCF. This kind of scene has to have a purpose otherwise the production is going to get roasted. There is already a lot of scolding on the internet.
If it is BCF it is to put him firmly down the path of darkness and also as an excuse to have LC turn dark. Maybe the two of them end up getting together as a result. That would be very icky though to have her fall for her rapist.
If it is FYK it is maybe because he wants to prevent her/6.5 Hall from teaming up with SMZ/House Drizzle. The guy is a rogue he gets plenty of women and he likes WR so I doubt he needs to rape LC for the heck of it. Maybe it is to frame BCF so that SMZ and WXS turn against him as well. It is still a heinous thing to do.
We will just have to see where the drama goes with this. If it is just a random person to make LC turn dark, I will be mad. That is the least satisfying reason. But from the end scene, I see the nasty hand of Youqiao Group in this. They sent a goblin to traumatize her further so this third possibility is also real.

I think it’s bc he knows he is not a as good a fighter. So he is opportunistic about when he jumps in. It’s kind of slimy. Kind of like his drinking buddy who stabs Lei sun in the back bc she can’t kill him otherwise. In sharp contrast with SMZ who disdains sneak attacks.

FYK is definitely the main villain that will clash with BCF in terms of ambition. It is however BCF that appears out of nowhere to race with WXS to save SMZ. So he is lurking nearby the scene of the crime already.

Yups. They don’t even seem to care who did it. And the subsequent attack on her as well. I don’t have a huge issue if it is necessary to the plot but I am not sure it is. Maybe they want to make LC go bad or turn her against the perpetrator.
Its a terrible scene it kind of doesn't make it better whoever did it.
Well the drama can still go a different direction from the novel in this so it could still be FYK or and unknown assailant. If they go with BCF I don’t know how they can salvage this character. And I am increasingly unhappy about the necessity of the scene at all.
Why can’t the main leads be more interesting like SMZ, DJF and FYK? Up to eps 20 - WXS is still this clueless…
I think WXS is not as clueless as he seems. He has tried to counsel BCF back from the dark side a few times already. But I agree we are lacking a real main protagonist in this drama. I guess de facto it has to be SMZ for now until maybe WXS grows up more.
