You never know if you don't try so definitely submit TBW video it is very good. Youku is also doing a lot of short videos to attract viewers to their shopping platforms etc so it may be more fun and not as tedious as editing an entire drama. A lot of the people who do editing work are freelancers anyway who do random related jobs like my cousin who is a camera crew when he can get jobs and if not like during the pandemic he takes editing jobs.

I am not so bothered by her character - its a typical wuxia archetype - the Huang Rong trope. There is a good way to do it and a bad way. I am quite sure the character will show growth but I am not hopeful the actor can pull it off in a good way.

Yeah you can ignore me a bit, I am just venting bc I want to watch it for all the other characters. She was also terrible in her other drama - like so bad even one of the nicest reviewers gave it a such a low score it shocked me. I didn't last I dropped it but I don't want to drop this one so my complaining is just therapy.

Nah modern is not my genre and the synopsis sounds sappy. I just checked it out bc its Daylight Entertainment and I like the cast. Will go back to it on a rainy day but its not high on my list.

If we need decoration, I'd rather have a funny looking vase tyvm, at least a vase won't make so much noise. Even the ugly rock formation with the name joke was better entertainment value.

Well he could end up being the person in the box which means she ends up with Su Meng Zhen and they find him a magic flower. I’d be ok with that too. But my top choice is still FL in the box but the drama gods are never that good.

SSS went too far with the slo mo but at least every fighter had a distinctly different style. This one you can ‘t tell one from the other. It’s kind of lazy and that is why some people are complaining about it. They are all just swordsman/slashers with different swords. It’s gonna get really old very soon if they plan to slash’s their way through 38 episodes.

They are too tropey Romeo and Juliet; not to mention they are upfront that he won’t live long. I am just rooting for Bai Choufei to be able to console her later on. She is the only likable female character in this I don’t want her to be sad and alone.

I’d pick him over Su Meng Zhen.

Yeah so far it’s more like unrequited love but maybe the magic flute helps him get there. I do think she is moved by his art. She gets his deep meaning so it’s not a lost cause.

I wouldn’t call them bad but it is disappointing that there are no distinct fight styles (yet) it is all very heavy slasher quick cut to the death. I hope that changes bc in a good wuxia you should be able to see the different styles. But no one does good fight scenes anymore anyway, at least this is not heavy slo mo and the slashing is quite well done even if everyone fights the same. Choreographer lacks imagination.

Well if he can’t even persuade her at that point then it wasn’t a triangle to begin with and he doesn’t deserve to win.
