I like LYN better as a villain anyway, he reminds me of Alan Rickman but Baron also does a great villain. I am fine if either or both of them go dark. The reason I suspect one of them will is the villains they have rolled out so far are all cartoon tropes.
Depends on who’s watching here. I like Who Rules The World much better. Coz, the both leads in WRTW are so much…
I enjoyed WRTW a lot bc the chemistry of the main couple is very strong. But it isn't really a true wuxia even though it touches upon the martial world. There is no character development, the leads are already perfect and their suffering is all short lived and just too easy. Its fun for a good laugh but not that satisfying for hard core wuxia fans. As for this one, I was kind of hoping they would travel a bit instead of choosing sides in a sect war in the capital but there are a few interesting brewing conflicts and mysteries that keeps me guessing. I think we will see a lot more character development in this one which makes it more interesting. I like Baron but he over poses and can't help doing the cat walk still every time he walks. Its such a bad old habit of his I just have to laugh and roll my eyes. Its hard to take him seriously when he goes into the I was a model mode.
Possibly but kind of doubt it. The guy chained in the well is a classic done before many, many times wuxia trope, I rolled with laughter the moment he showed up. WOH had one too but they were super creative about where they went with him. Either SMZ or BCF would make more interesting villains than the archetypes that have appeared so far.
Did they really just release every single episode from s1 and s2 all at once?! Okay, wow, did not expect that.…
Don’t worry about LOA. Youku is directly involved and invested in that production with Shanghai Film and Media. It is not a Croton project. If you can read Chinese you can see on the TBW Baike page that Youku is not one of the 4 investors in TBW, their parent Alibaba is just a broadcast agent. Youku is also directly invested in Immortal Samsara so that one also should not have a problem.
