Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
Second thought: Is this the dumbest king of 2022 dramas? His son is the nephew of the "Emperor." The smart one.…
I don't think its just that. He is in good health still and just doesn't want to name a successor in case the successor tries to topple him. He would rather they focus their energies on toppling each other. And the last man standing it can be argued is the most worthy prince.

I'm waiting for them; I have no faith in CM.
Yeah nothing like dropping a few BLs to distract people from rioting after being locked down for weeks on end...

I wonder if that's the atmosphere in the novels - 3 different teams produced Longest Day in Chang'an, Luoyang…
I think it is just the face fur which let me be honest is not just yuck it is very confusing. Both Luoyang and Changán were set much later in history and the Luoyang costumes were very not authentic at all. This is very early period in history, 3 Kingdoms time, the costumes in this are clearly from a much earlier and more primitive thick material, more similar to Secret of the 3 Kingdoms.

With large bits of China under lockdown due to covid, they have been launching lots of dramas lately... I think WRTW is fun to watch and I think Longxi is more complicated but pretty engrossing as well.

Luckily I didn't read this novel but sorry to hear you didn't like the way Yunhe was adapted. Drama version though is still quite brave and interesting.

Lots... yes... I couldn't believe either...
That should be good. He is also rumored to do a period drama with Tan Songyun. His chemistry with her is actually better than with anyone else I have seen.

Lol don't worry... it will not be 2023 but yeah if AVV does both parts you will be able to watch it faster than waiting on Croton.

To be fair, Croton never published a date the April 22 was just fake news from an over enthusiastic fan. But I think there is a very high chance it drops at the same time as the local broadcast in Thailand/Korea which is supposed to be May although I haven't seen dates yet. But episodes also are not likely to be available ahead of the local airing which may be quite slow. So you may be much better off watching the AVV subbed version.

The directors are all different for all 3 productions. I think this guy mostly does movies. I also think he went too far with the shadowy dark toned and suspenseful atmosphere but at least his camera doesn’t spin wildly out of control the way Luoyang did. I don’t like this beard thing it makes everyone look the same. I can see how misinformation happens!!!
Chen Kun and Bai Yi’s chemistry is amazing and I just love love love their interpretations so far. I wish the governor is better acted though and Mi Chong really reminds me of the head palace guard in secret of the 3 kingdoms.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
What's the ending? happy or sad?
The ending is what you want it to be. It is not an outright happy ending but there are enough hints that she will be able to return in 300 years time. And when she does whether that is how Chang Yi either imagines their reunion or whether that is how it actually is is up to you to decide. It is unfortunately the case that many directors like to do interpretation endings. It’s really dumb in this case bc the novel was HE and there was enough angst already. Of course no one is happy about it and there are many posts leaking old versions of the script and saying someone must have made an editing error. But the truth is the director always has the final cut and the ending well is the most important part of their job. The ending was very deliberate and how this dude chose to do it. Make of it what makes you happy.

Maybe there are just some people who don't share your view... That's ok isn't it? I'm sure there are some dramas…
Yeah it is unfortunate that the worst of human nature is exposed on the anonymous internet. I normally avoid fan wars I think it’s a dumb waste of time but those kinds of comments are hard to just keep scrolling by.

I just love Chen Kun’s micro expressions in this and I am loving his chemistry with Bai Yu. Spy stories have this nasty habit of killing off main characters but since it’s only Ep 2 I figured he was safe. I laughed at the way Xun Xu said is that really necessary? re the poison but yeah these dudes are in deep shit…
I was thinking the same thing wrt the dark palette but wonder if we have just gotten way too used to the over bright filter…

Never watched Sun Yi either. Think the character chart has a typo bc it’s there as Cui Yue and I thought her name is Di Yue but since it’s a spy story it could also be another identity. I still haven’t gotten round to RoTK so idk Li Yan and honestly that name is like Chinese equivalent of John Smith…

Yes... lets furiously wiki... So far Xun Xu seems to have history with Zhuge Liang while Chen Gong is Li Yan's boy. Rather interesting they are such good friends.
