It’s so wrong that Mild is their primary target of sympathy when she made the situation worse for the victim initially. Like yes her situation is not great but it’s nothing compared to what the primary victim went through.

Morality aside, I’m also starting to think some of these celebs also have low IQ because some of them just keep digging a bigger grave for themselves. Like what is it about Mild that you would jeopardize your careers for her lol

I was going to watch Empress of Flames but I’m not sure if I will anymore.

So many celebs getting exposed with this. Very disappointing. I’m glad the public in general is on the victim’s side.

I think that as the quality of Thai BLs have been improving there is more interest now. Also the fact that there is more genre-blending than before and BLs are not limited to simple romcoms anymore. Interestingly in Japan A-list actors act in BLs all the time nowadays haha

I don’t mind subtle romance, but if it really is just another queer tragedy/queer misery fest with no light at the end of the tunnel I have to reconsider whether to watch the show or not😔

In Japan a lot of mainstream actors do BL that is not depressing. It is Korea that is the most ”behind” at this moment.

He could be a pioneer. Such a missed opportunity😔

There was no sound effects in the trailer at least and also no awkward slow motion scenes with cheesy music, which is also something I really hate. I guess my main problem with a lot of Thai BL is that many of them feel more or less like they are made up of decontextualized fan service moments without much relationship development or deep characterization. I hope payback turns out good because it looks A LOT better than most stuff out there🙏

I wonder if part of the reason this stalled was because Sammon was focusing on Payback the series instead🤔I’m quite excited for that one, it looks good.

The production obviously just wants to make money without spending a penny themsleves 😅

I’ve noticed we haven’t really seen much flashy pilots from smaller studios since 2024.I guess cases like Red Peafowl and Mike’s and Jeff’s projects made studios more cautious as these did not move into production as intended. Depending on whether First and Ohm succeed in their experiment, it might affect if people try to create branded pairs ”in advance” in the future as well.

This looks more high-quality than the average Thai BL so I’m definetly curious

I don’t think this project ever got formally greenlit tbh. The pilot was basically a proof-of-concept meant to pitch the show to investors. The fact that only Jeff occasionally mentions it after all this time with no production partner or other crew added and the rest of the cast moving on/not mentioning HE anymore is not very
reassuring😅Also the way Jeff keeps giving timelines that are obviously not rooted in any production
reality and his schedule is packed with new projects that have taken priority…….My current interpretation is that this is something he really wanted to make and they tried developing it to a point but it did not work out so now SOS is trying to figure out how to backtrack with the least amount of reputational damage.

Maybe the announcement serves kind of like a pitch similar to how Vamp pilot did but with less money involved🤔A series is not greenlit until there is an official announcement from a production partner. Or who knows, maybe they try to produce it themsleves😁
