Let’s support this extra hard so that Netflix does not get onboard GMMTV’s bromance wave

Gmmtv is definetly testing how far they can push this bromance stuff. If they find there is no ceiling it might end up undoing a decade of progress.

At this point I’m just boycotting GMMTV as a whole until they get their shit together. This issue matters to me more than any entertainment I could potentially get. I’m not saying everyone else need to do as I do, but just putting it out here that if people really want to watch this show but don’t want to support this kind of marketing and framing, they could watch the show on unofficial sites. This is the kind of situation where piracy is good (because it does not give GMMTV money)

The only way this would not be blatant queerbaiting at this point is if the main characters actually are queer but their relationship is that of friends. If not, airing this on Gaga without any sort of rep is just😬(also they tagged this Gay and BL and included a rainbow in the announcement tweet😑)

What is the most crazy is that they could have put this on Netflix, iQIYI, WeTV—literally any other platform that is not exclusively for queer entertainment. It is just so wrong on so many levels if the series is bromance without the mains being queer in any way.

There are so many puritans across different fandoms nowadays😅

Vamp could technically recast. I think it is shelved though as Mike has gone completely silent about it for like a year now. But yeah, so many projects, especially from small and newer companies end up with issues. What is so weird with Wuju bakery is that they were able to complete
filming and that the project collapsed at such a late stage. Most projects that fade away do so during early development like Vamp😅

Okay, so this is the first cdrama (or is it Singaporean?) that I tried watching. Everything happened so abruptly that I had to double check I had not mistakenly started watching a later episode instead of episode 1. I’m more used to the first episode being about build-up: introducing the premise and characters but this one just skipped all that and threw you right into the middle of stuff😅 Currently contemplating whether I should watch beyond episode 1🤔

Also I’m still not sure if this is supposed to be a fantasy series or if guys in historical CBLs always have the ability to fly through the air in slow motion.

The character visuals and cinematograohy was very good though.

The DRAMA of it all😅I wonder how things will unfold from here on out👀

I don’t know if you are aware but at least Becky has left the Vamp project. MDA Entertainment instagram has unfollowed her. Over one year ago Mike said in a live that some people decided they don’t want to do Vamp anymore and left.

If it is not good it will be Hanyang’s fault and not due to the era it was made in. Some of the best BLs are from 2021-2022 imo

It’s like when people complain about the quality of GMMTV BL dramas but still watch them anyway because the fave is in it. This gives the studio zero incentive to improve because the stans will watch no matter what🤦‍♀️

People really have forgotten that they can vote with their feet.Forcing yourself to watch something is beyond me. I would argue that the majority nowadays don’t watch shows as viewers, but as stans😅
