It's understandable. We each see things differently and in this case, we simply ended up seeing the same show…
Exactly! :-)

I usually agree with your reviews, but I strongly disagree with this one. :-) I still respect your opinion immensely and look forward to your next review!

Alice in Borderlands for me, hands down. Watched it twice already and counting down to season 2. I do not agree…
This wins for best comment! I wish we had a way to save comments because I want to go over what you said as I rewatch AiB (for the tenth time.)

With that second half were it looked like the bad guys were attending paris fashion week?
You totally missed the point of the second half then.

Reading some of these comments, I didn't expect much, but I actually liked it. Some of the episodes were cautionary tales, and some were just reality for a lot of people.

#23 is so annoying... she acts as a slud and manipulated to look like the victim
Did you really call the FL in the first episodes a slut?

Just watched 23,if this kind of story portrays female as saint, i am the k drama society is seriously going in…
Men do it all the time, and are hardly called out for it, so there's that. Also she wasn't portrayed as a saint at all - in fact, she got yelled at constantly and then got doxxed online.

As much as I felt ambivalent about Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo, I really like Kamishiraishi Mone
and would watch 100 episodes with her...but even then, thank goodness the episodes are so short!

I tried for the first episode and it said the site didn't exist anymore. I just ended up watching the raw.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I often take an objective and constructive-critical perspective…
I rate dramas highly when I like them - period - no matter the country or genre. But I'm super cognizant of how low J-dramas are rated on here and feel like your rating system might have unintended consequences.
And I still don't understand your system, frankly. In your "Worst And Most Disappointing Korean Dramas Of All Time..." list you rate both DAYS and Nevertheless at a 6.0 but you gave this particular drama a 6.5 and said that you liked it. And on your "Best Dramas Of All Time" list you rate Run On with a 6.0. ??

The subtitle page says it doesn't exist any longer. :-) Is there a trick to getting the subs? I can't seem to pull them up at all - from either her site or this link.

I've actually read through all of your reviews to try to understand why you rate this way. So for widely-disseminated and popular K-dramas, this way of rating might be fine, even a way of balancing out a hyper-inflated rating system. I mostly get that.
But for J-dramas, which suffer from slow subs and no global Hallyu wave (which is Korean, obvs), they are already rated much lower on MDL than K-dramas are.
A 6.5 doesn't help the rating of a J-drama that already has other factors stacked against it.

Obviously you're only one reviewer in the mix, and not responsible for the rating system on MDL. But I'd be lying if I said it didn't bug me that you rate J-dramas you obviously liked with such a low rating because it has more impact than the average K-drama.
