Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I often take an objective and constructive-critical perspective…
I rate dramas highly when I like them - period - no matter the country or genre. But I'm super cognizant of how low J-dramas are rated on here and feel like your rating system might have unintended consequences. And I still don't understand your system, frankly. In your "Worst And Most Disappointing Korean Dramas Of All Time..." list you rate both DAYS and Nevertheless at a 6.0 but you gave this particular drama a 6.5 and said that you liked it. And on your "Best Dramas Of All Time" list you rate Run On with a 6.0. ??
The subtitle page says it doesn't exist any longer. :-) Is there a trick to getting the subs? I can't seem to pull them up at all - from either her site or this link.

I've actually read through all of your reviews to try to understand why you rate this way. So for widely-disseminated and popular K-dramas, this way of rating might be fine, even a way of balancing out a hyper-inflated rating system. I mostly get that. But for J-dramas, which suffer from slow subs and no global Hallyu wave (which is Korean, obvs), they are already rated much lower on MDL than K-dramas are. A 6.5 doesn't help the rating of a J-drama that already has other factors stacked against it.
Obviously you're only one reviewer in the mix, and not responsible for the rating system on MDL. But I'd be lying if I said it didn't bug me that you rate J-dramas you obviously liked with such a low rating because it has more impact than the average K-drama.

I really don't find anything problematic in the man-woman relationships that I see in Kdrama. Indeed, they are…
Forced kissing and light stalking in K-dramas is healthier and more real than what you see on "Western tv?" Since when are those things, (and everything else mentioned in this article) either healthy or real?
I definitely agree. I would choose quality over quantity any day. He's got a nice face, but he has the same facial…
And like I said before, I haven't seen it so I don't know. But I DO know that directors need to share every last bit of blame for misfires of such magnitude - and probably more - since it's their ship.

To be honest, I don't care what people on Koalasplayground say because I actually watched the drama myself and thought he was great in it. I haven't seen Lovers of the Red Sky and so won't comment on it (because commenting with such heat on something I haven't actually seen doesn't make much sense to me.) But it's totally your prerogative to like what you want to like.

Actually, no. He's a big deal because of dramas like Dr. Romantic 2 and Thirty But Seventeen - and especially in Dr. Romantic 2 he was awesome. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but it's pretty harsh, (in mine.)
