Madam Liu is one of the most domineering, self-centered, manipulative, bipolar females. She and Mr Yao would make a good couple. I feel sorry for Mr Mai. They didn't have to kill off Mr Yao. He could have lived out his life at Xing Anli, hosting little lectures for the guests.

I started bingewatching the drama last night for Yang Zi and Xu Kai. I am at episode 6, and the FL's mother is in between possessive and overbearing. I had relatives like her, so she hasn't annoyed me to the point of wanting to slap her head. I feel sorry for the husband. She more or less demoralized him when she criticized him for only being a driver.
It was satisfying to watch her getting scolded by Bai Minghan tho. 😌
She was so delulu, thinking the father would be a free man in Taiwan. If Lin let him live, Bai Ming Han would have been killed as a spy, after his arrival. Lin's boss General was ruthless.

I thought the same thing. He should have been in the main role grouping. I recognized his face. I checked his MDL list, and found out that I have seen him in a few dramas. Most notable is Nirvana in Fire as the Emperor S.O.B.. LOL
Xu Bai Hui as Ge Yun and Ding Yong Dai as Bai Ming Han are grouped in the guest role group. Bai Ming Han seems more integral to the plot, and should be in the top 5 supporting group. Even though she is the sleeper, Ge Yun should be in the Top 10 supporting group. In dramawiki, Ding Yong Dai is listed first, and Xu Bai Hui is listed third in the Supporting Cast.

I totally agree with you on Pang Hongmei. She is a fighter. but she manages to get hurt a lot. First, the left arm, then the knee, etc. Poor girl! I don't understand why she did not shove the stack of barrels, when she suspected that the spy Zhang was standing behind them. She allowed him to shove the barrels onto her, so he could escape.

He seems oblivious to the high security of the mission, but there are also characters who seem to have too much free access, like the guy who was talking to the spy Zhang in his hospital room. The security in the factory and hospital is somewhat lax. I am at episode 15, btw. The nurses are also belligerent.
LOL Fu Sheng was annoying to watch. The actor is good looking, but I had to fast forward most of his scenes.
I agree with you. The villain actor has the widest acting range (most times) in a drama, but he has to stretch his role over multiple episodes. It begins to feel cumbersome whenever he pops up and does not accomplish his job. The villain has more impact in a movie because it ends in two hours. After watching the actor in a drama, I don't have much empathy for his next drama role, if he is a protagonist or antagonist.
