I finally decided to watch Nirvana in Fire, 1 1/4 years after the TV broadcast. NIF and EL are period costume dramas with different motivations. NIF is historical fiction heavy drama, while EL is fantasy romance fiction light drama. NIF is intense and intellectual, while EL appeals to the heart. NIF story was continuous, while EL story was segmented.

Trim the drama by 25 episodes (25*60 minutes), remove all the filler and flashback. Reshoot the final scene, so Gi Tan and Soo Yoon, kiss and make up. Let Gun Woo live. Kill Byun Il Jae, Kwang Woo, Mrs Chairman, and Vampire Lady with purple lipstick. Elevate Jung Bo Suk to the star of the drama. Rename the drama, Monster Jung.
