Only reason i'm watching this is because of Ying Zheng i was waiting for something like this that's…
I keep reading that King is a ruthless tyrant, but so far, he is a normal ruler, issuing life or death edicts. My main objection is that he keeps threatening people with death in almost every episode, but he never follows through.
He doesn't trust anyone, which is justifiable, but he keeps the Eunuch Zhao next to him. "Just get rid of that weasel/snake/backstabber, Bixia." At the rate he is going, Zheng will end up like King Wang So in Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo. All alone in the end!
Please Drama God fix Jing Ke's weird side bang. That is all.
Jing Ke's side bang is ridiculous. It seems to be a prerequisite for Asian costume drama swordsmen, but it must interfere with the field of vision in battle.
The king is handsome, and his costumes are beautiful. His favorite line in almost every episode, is "I will kill...", but he never follows through with his threats. I can anticipate when he will say those words. I wish the would get rid of the weasel, Eunuch Zhao. It looks like King will lose the throne over a woman, who can no feelings for him.
Production wise, I cannot stand the constant anvil strike with zoom closeup, as a character reaction shot. The Director and the Editor are diminishing the production value with this amateurish film/camera lens technique.
I found this notation on a NGCS video. "Beijing time every day 24:00 on time update, Monday to Saturday every day update two sets, Sunday update a set",
I don't care that I'm probably adding to the negativity here, but this first episode was a pain to go…
@NekoMinSeo DF has three dramas, When a Snail Falls in Love, Love Me if You Dare and Dr Qin Medical Examiner. The first two are based on crime novels by the same author. Snail title is misleading since it is 95% crime, 5% romance. I completed 50% of Love..Dare on the weekend. Dr Qin has two handsome actors. LOL
Does anyone has a membership on On Demand Korea? Is it any good?
@irilight Customer service level is awesome, as you mentioned. Their site is in English, so I always wonder why their dramas do not have subs. Some of the dramas do get subbed later in the week. I saw the special promo a few times.

ODK sent me an email that they do not have the license for Criminal Minds. I never subscribed to ODK because it is $90 per year, and the content with ENG subs is 10% to 20%. I did watch Return of Superman weekly when the Song Triplets were on the show, and I did Pay Per View for recent movies.
Sadly, so far, July 23 and no news of license from DramaFever or Viki
OKD replied that they do not have the license for this drama. I just sent an inquiry to TVN on Facebook, 현장토크쇼 택시, for viewing CM online in North America. I will update you, ASAP.
I agree with all your bullet points. The only actor who stood out, was Zhang Ruo Yun. Even with his color cordination of hair feather and robe, his acting depth was apparent.
I agree with you, on the acting skills of Kim Young Kwang, Key and Kim Seul Gi.
The final wrap up, hinting of a second season, was too long (16 minutes). If they wanted a cliffhanger, they should have given Yoon Seung Ro and his stool pigeon, five minutes to discuss their masterplan. The other 11 minutes could have been put to better use.

I noticed that ODK had ENG subs on some older TVN dramas. They would air the episode immediately with no subs, and the ENG subs would appear days or a week later. Hopefully, the do this with Criminal Minds.
I wonder what will happen to ODK, with this Kocowa deal enforced.

ODK did post some new movies, then they stopped. I am waiting for Battleship Island on 8/04/17.
