Ep 4 was really fun and I laughed a lot! Jo boah and rowoon did a great job - rowoon especially!I know the love…
Same! The deadpan delivery of those cheesy lines is especially funny! But I still can not get on board with this so called 'romance' cause if he's just saying it because of the spell then what's the point :/
The thing that i still don't understand is, since what point exactly did Jin Luo starts occupying Ying Shi's body? Because if it already happen since the heavenly realm, then what's her motivation to get close to Chu Kong? In the beginning she was dead set on CHu Kong to the point of harassing Xiang Yun, even following them to the mortal realm. She even already has the Nuwa Stone from the beginning, only to give it to Xiang Yun as a price for their deal. Like, what is the point of all of that then.
so fast that it probably broke records; at least from all the cdramas i've watched so far, main couple usually won't get together until at least 2/3 of the length of the entire series lol
I haven't watched the original version, but i feel like there are tons of drama with similar premise. Aside from starry love, this show makes me feel nostalgic because it definitely has a very similar vibe with princess pearl. A cute an easy watch so far, probably saving it until the final episode so i can just binge it
Sooooo, from the preview i have a suspicion that doha's mom and deuk chan know more about the ex's whereabout, i.e., they buried her somewhere to hide the evidence.
The part about not loving someone was probably a lie. The previous Demon Kings were most likely incapable of loving…
That makes sense. Meanwhile, i was thinking the opposite in which, the elder is trying to gatekeep the power by avoiding possible noble idiocy by future demon king (e.g. the king giving his power to his/her beloved or sth). I am a bit confused though, is this demon power somehow related to cang hai's lost power?
This show is ridiculous but i like that they embrace the ridiculousness all the way through. The four way slaps! The peppa pig tattoos! I watch the 3 hours+ long merged version on youtube, and even though the sub is far from perfect i can decently understand what was going on. Overall a pretty fun and stress free show to watch on the weekend.
i'm just going to turn off my brain and enjoy the ride cause this is definitely the type of drama that aims more to be pretty than anything else. Also, this part: "sssh, listen, the sound of my white hair growing out of my scalp, one by one" is peak relatable i'm going to make a gif and send it to anyone who annoys me XD
Kinda random but I really like xiangyun’s eye make up. It’s so colourful and prettyyy
The overall costumes and make ups in this drama are excellent tbh. I haven't watched too many xian xia dramas but this is probably the prettiest that i've ever seen. For once, not everyone is wearing white on heavenly realm, even though they still mostly focused on pastel color, but at least, variations!
Never have the saying 'don't judge the book by its cover' feels more appropriate than my experience watching this drama. I mean, look at the cheesy poster! And tao's hair! (Speaking of, i knew tao since his exo days and i've tried watching some of his earlier dramas and none of them can convince me about his acting prowess). However, because I have too much time on my hands and i found that all of the eps are available for free on wetv, i decided to give it a go. And i was, to put it lightly, pleasantly surprised. I came here right after finishing ep 33 and, trust me, never have i ever said this about cdrama but, i want more! This has the perfect amount of anything for me; comedy, romance, friendship and family bonds, enough tension and conflicts to make the settting feels believable, but not too much that it would make it feels draggy. All the actors did well, even the supporting characters. All the side romances and corporate politics and legal jargons delivered well enough, i did not skip or fast forward anything. Overall just a fun and very enjoyable drama.
I did not expect that i would love this drama as much as I am now, given the problematic premise. I just watched it randomly because it's available on viki and it's short and has comedy tag so i gave it a go. Boy was I in for a very pleasant surprise cause that was a very entertaining watch. I especially love the occasional breaking of the 4th wall; it's like the show is acknowledging that it is problematic but then it shifted the focus on how they could make positive turn from the situation. I'm not going to argue whether what haijin did was considered grooming, but I still enjoy the dark jokes so much. haven't had this much laugh from watching drama for a while.
Campy but oh so fun! I also enjoy the bits of japanese myths and how they translates into the modern version of the youkai(s). Comedic timing is also very on point!
I am a bit confused though, is this demon power somehow related to cang hai's lost power?
