I am sad mad because I lost a precious day skipping through 60 episodes of this highly rated drama. In the end I didn't know if it was my cold or the drama that made me feel so miserable. The story line and characters have quite similarities and inevitably has to be compared with ten miles of peach blossom. Summary is the male lead is ten times handsomer by comparison. The story line, romance, revenge and female lead is ten times worse. There was luke warm chemistry between leads and the kisses were similar to toddlers kissing each other. The male lead did an excellent job and gave his all but it is a lost cause. Watch ten miles of peach blossom instead if you haven't already.

Romance done right

Finally a romance that had most of the cliches done right by giving you tons of butterflies. So, so many of my previous issues on how I envision an adult romantic relationship be, were resolved. Even though the number of episodes appear to be long but the relationship and story moved at a very enjoyable pace.
Both the ML and FL where gorgeous, nice and caring, intelligent and could really emote well making this drama to go to top of my rewatch list. The chemistry was through the roof and the skin ship ticked all the boxes for me, was super exciting and organically done. The humor was so adorable.
I guess one of my favorite cliche is a strong, intelligent, working woman who is fully supported in her dreams and is super nice and reasonable in spite of being successful. Not only that she appreciates the individuality of others and support them as well and tries to understand by being flexible enough to try out their choices. The ML is not stoic at all and while being quite knowledgeable in the dating game is still innocent in his own way.
Although I am not a fan of a noona romance with a big age gap, but it can be overlooked easily. Many of other positive points of the drama included closure and support of the secondary male and female leads who loved the primary leads but were able to move on by supporting each other. The dressing of both male and female leads, their makeup, their personalities even most romantic background musical score were on point.
This drama has made me so happy that I'm going around with a stupid smile on my face. Strongly recommended for destressing, relaxing, and being satisfied at the end of it all.

I tried! I was so exited to find a highly rated drama. Finished watching hospital play list! And also had in mind Arsenal academy so was in the mood for a good follow up drama! Wow what a huge disappointment. I wanted to go slow initially to allow the story line to develop. I apologize but I finished in two hours.
What a annoying FL with so much makeup and over acting. She really worked hard to act like a new teenager with raging hormones.
Only points they get were few good kisses. I was super disappointed at the unprofessional attitude of the doctors including the ML. I could not like a single character.
Please watch at your own risk. I apologize if I forwarded it so much of there was a decent story line but I didn’t get any hint of it from the snippets.

Skip it

I started and stopped so many times to complete this drama. It could be best described as hodgepodge of various genres which was not appetizing at all. It included mystery, crime, romance, friendship, abuse, melodrama, comedy etc but nothing stuck.
I had begin to think that there were only top notch K actors who did excellent job regardless of age, sex, role, screen time etc. however this drama dispelled that illusion. I apologize I could not become a fan of the FL’s visuals. The ML was better tolerated and acted better as well. There was no chemistry between the leads even though there was some excellent script in regards to their banter and a gorgeous scenic view for their first kiss. However my heart did not skip a single beat but instead went into bradycardia. The romantic scenes had them significantly apart with constant smiling at each other with those emotionless, dead eyes. Even when they cried or hugged, I did not feel any emotional tug. The mystery just couldn't keep its tempo or grip because of so many interrupted elements. The background childhood didn’t show much effect on the grown adults due to poor acting skills.
I barely tolerated the side characters which were really really annoying most of the time. The only one I liked and who acted best was the supposed villian.
Not even worth a quick watch. Do your self a favor and just skip it.

Helpless God.

I had such high hopes for this drama. It started with much promise and interesting storyline but fizzled out before reaching half way. A woman with terminal diagnosis granted one wish and a supernatural being who doesn't care for the frail and selfish humanity.

Its supposed to have a touch of melodrama but it never got me pulled into the emotions. I didn't cry even once and I tend to be a water tap. Why? because the FL was lovely and adorable and did not convey the devastation well. The ML was like a blunted knife when he could be so much cooler and ruthless.

The story line was so flimsy on the premise of one wish and kept on going in circles with no plausibility of the anguish. The God was such a helpless creature that good luck to the rest of the poor world when she was unsure of what the fate of two people will turn out to be.

I got more invested in the second lead story line. They were gorgeous. I have always like the second ML so much and wondered why he didn't get better roles. This was good opportunity for him to shine. Alas the poor kissing at his part. I really hope he gets a better role and is able to widen his acting range.

This was the only recent drama that I watched as it was airing. I forgot when new episodes would come out near the end.

So underwhelming and loss of a great opportunity.

Awesome Gender bender

What a refreshing gender bender drama. I was skeptical when I initially heard the story. How ever it has set a high bar for this genre, which will be hard to overcome in the future. The FL acting was remarkable with a strong script backing her up. She portrayed the confusion of feeling both like a man and a woman extremely well. I really liked how she walked and talked like a male and reacted emotionally like a male as well. She quickly adapted to each new turmoil thrown at her with out preserving over issues she could not resolve. I liked how she remained a direct and honest person and did not use lies or hurtful comments to make the king back off. The transition of her feelings was very well portrayed, which I believe is a remarkable feat.

The associated humor was masterfully done and was hilarious without being crass. Very funny portrayal of male ego vying to appear cool in front of others.

Nearly satisfying ending. In my personal opinion, the female was there through out the journey but only came forward to express her love. Perhaps she needed another stronger soul in her to make her braver so she could help the king.

I believe now the modern ML will have an inner female counterpart for him to understand women problems. It would have been fun if he found a FL who had an inner male counterpart and some how they complemented each other. well.

I took away a point as the number of episodes need to be less. Although I watch k dramas as if my life depends on them but there are so many now that it is an addiction. I would rather not fast forward and watch a tight knit story instead.

Over all really well done to cast and crew.

What a sweet story. If you like humor, romance and sizzling chemistry with great skin ship then this is for you. I have never seen such attractive dimples on a man so much so that you just wait for his smile. Not to mention a fit body and he can really act well on top of it.
Loves the theme that the guy wanted the girl to do her best, took responsibility and Supported her in every way (sigh, the things a girl dreams of).
The FL was voted the most attractive woman in Taiwan. She is also cute and is a good fit for the role.
Love the cutest OST and the in between jingle that surprisingly did not get on your nerves. Perhaps I am being just tolerant.
A satisfying ending. I really wish more romantic dramas would follow their example.
Life is hard enough and something like this can act as a great stress reliever!!!

A gorgeous human feline!

The story revolved around a cat from meowplanet who comes to our planet and can turn into a human. She comes in the life of a sour faced ML (her words, not mine though aptly spoken). She can only return if she full fills the wish of the ML to whom she is indebted.

Although the premise is as childish as it comes but it was made to work well. I kept on watching because the FL was so breathtakingly beautiful and acted well. She never got annoying as a cat human. She was a fast learner as well so made up for her initial ignorance.

The ML was ok and could have shown more character growth. A typical cliche of memory loss thrown at the end which was resolved quickly. I did not care about the second leads or side characters except a good looking conflicted guy who had dual role of kind of second ML and partly villain.

Happy ending, few nice close lipped kisses and good hugs.

Good for a fast run.

I apologize in advance for the scathing comments below.
I guess I have been spoiled by recent release of high quality dramas and much more improved high school C- dramas.
My personal pet peeves are lying and rudeness. The FL in this drama is extremely rude to the point of being a verbal bully as well as a pathological liar. After initial 3-4 episodes, I fast forwarded to see if there was a plausible reason for her behavior but I have never seen a flimsier excuse. Her personality undergoes minimal character growth with all the hard work of people around her. The ML is mature beyond his age but despite all that falls for the FL head over heels.
This drama had numerous characters that had grating personalities. The high schoolers failed miserably to portray some one gritty like "Extracurricular" or innocent like "Lovely us". The use of tons of make up, exhausting failure of trying to be mature, inappropriate use of back ground score, no humor or witty dialogues, led me to give it a poor review. I gave 2 points for the sweet second FL, who was the only good thing in this drama. Strong recommendations not to watch with family as children may get the wrong ideas.

Wasted opportunity

What a poorly written script! I underwent the torture of watching the pain of break up, huge misunderstandings, secrets and lack of honest conversation through out the series. What I could not understand is the premise of the break up. The main FL was a really confused woman, the way she behaved was not admirable or lovable. This life is really hard and one should try to appreciate what ever ease comes along the way instead of shooting one self in the foot. She was super lucky that she got back with JCW when she really did not deserve him.
And why does JCW keeps on taking these kind of roles. What is wrong with his agency or his intellect. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope some one guides him to take a better project next time.
There was a wasted opportunity of great friendship amongst the three childhood friends. I believe when you don't share your grief or start keeping secrets, you loose the basics of strong friendship.
I also cant get behind the concept of a male and female friend living in same house for 2 years without developing feelings.
Some positive aspects were that the story had a modern feel to it with initial brave attempt to discuss sex and show some skinship. The long term couple was cute and tolerable. Episodes were shorter but felt very long.
Overall a wasted opportunity.

Gory thriller!

This is a thriller with some what similar premise to hunger games. However it is more gritty, fast paced with lots and lots of blood. The mysterious game master and brutal games keeps you guessing and pulls you inexorably into this world. I was able to watch it knowing that it is complete fiction. It ended at a great cliff hanger and has been renewed for a second season. Great acting, story and production. It warrants a one time watch if you are able to tolerate gory scenes.
PS: When I watched it on Netflix, I turned off the English audio and watched the original Japanese version with English subtitles. The English audio dubbing felt strange.

Excellent

Han so Hee has been choosing the most versatile projects to showcase her talent. She did a really good job being a conflicted mistress in “World of the married” to a delicate artist in “Nevertheless”. However, here she did an amazing job of playing the role of a daughter on a mission to avenge her father.
Yaay for 8 episodes which were sufficient to build a tight narrative. I was absolutely impressed by attention to detail to the makeup (un plucked eye brows, chapped lips , blood, bruises etc), hair, wardrobe, set designs, cinematography and background musical score. I loved the absence of the tropes of a woman playing role of seductress or wear extremely tight clothes to showcase her body or smile to fool people etc. Top notch acting skills by her which included portrayal of desperation and determination as well as impressively gritty action scenes. I am really excited for her future project (in talks with director of Vincenzo).
I have few small nitty gritty issues. Exaggerated gum chewing is not cool and just makes you look stupid.
I thought it could have been more dark like “Extracurricular” who has the same director. She could not have won her first ring fight or be able to avoid rape etc given the circumstances. She could also have developed a sexual relationship with the mafia boss.
The ending was however good and I always appreciate a romantic element.
Overall a very satisfying watch as a feminist. Highly recommended.

Others may be crazier than you!

A fun quick watch. This show cases that future K dramas should be shorter. A good story can be told well in this time frame with out unnecessary side characters and dragging the plot to fill 16 hrs of our life time.

Although the premise is mental illness but it shows how every person has emotional issues at various levels. There was good character building even of side characters. Nice, subtle life lessons learned. All side characters were likable.

Highly recommended as a one time watch.

True friendship

This was such a breath of fresh air. It showed a myriad of interesting character representations. The best thing was they had friends who completely accepted them for their truths. I have never seen such non- judgmental friendships where you can be your true self. Lovely thing was that these friends were polar opposite of each other but still there for each other. The tough topic of sexual encounters was filmed with discretion. I give kuddos to director and writer to drive home messages and teach us in a charming way.

If you are a die hard fan of romance, then this is a gem. I always thought it must be so hard to capture the joy of being newly married and how your love deepens as you grow together. That's why not many dramas are centered on it. This was one of the best drama that captured the fun, cheesiness and laughter that accompanies being newly married. The relationship and chemistry was so smooth and organic. I didn't find the lead pair as attractive looking as other well known faces. However they sure can act. I grew to love the heroine who smoothly covered up her disappointment and mistreatment thrown her way. I loved how the love grew as the each misunderstandings were resolved. Thanks God there was no child hood romance and amnesia thrown in as a cliche. The guy is an awesome actor. Great ending and over all the cockles of my heart are warmed.
