I have no idea what you're talking about - not because there's anything wrong with what you said, but because…
The first line of the dialouge in ep 4 is subbed as"I've been away from Taiwan, China for almost two years." And since WeTV is a part of Tencent multinational technology conglomerate from mainland China, this may well have been a nationalistic act of pettiness to emphasize they treat the country as their province.

I don't know what the writer was intending with this episode and Shou Yi and Zhen Xuan, but it did not work for…
You forget that Shou Yi has his own issues too. He has affective disorder, as it was told in season 1. So it has probably more to do with him than with Zhen Xuan. He refuses to love and be loved and that is his defense mechanism.

Aoey's father is literally and officially the biggest and most heartless arsehole in the universe. I hope he gets paralyzed from a stroke. And his sister is either a complete idiot or a vicious piece of shit for inviting him over there to be humiliated on his damned birthday by that human garbage. And the mother just stands still with occasional timid "dear"s. I know that in Thai shows parents almost always get away with what they did, no matter how utter filth they are, but I just hope it is not gonna happen here. I intensely loath the whole bunch of vermins.

Sooo...Are we gonna ignore the casual sexism going on in this series?

Garish and hilariously funny romantic comedy with occasional moments of seroiusness, but when they come, they are very effective. Low-budget and cinematically fair to middling, but expertly done within its own limits with likable characters and egaging, if sometimes overstated, performances. Bai Tieh Nan's attempts at intimacy suggested by his psychiatrist are particular highlights.

Will that be officially engsubbed?
Thanks, I cross my fingers then. A bit skeptycal because season 1 is still not available with engsubs on WeTv and not even available for internationla fans, but I hope they feel the pressure.

Mostly amateurish and far from very good, but an enjoyably silly low-budgeter from beginning to end, with some ingenious plot twists and good detail. And it was an interesting early attempt at rural BL with unusual solo singing numbers from the protagonists.

I’m one of the few positive comments that actually like the series and like how it’s being portrayed. But…
I am one of those who called Fu Yong Jie creepy on several occasions, and I think he has some serious issues, yet at the same time I sympathize with his character. From what his mum told about him and from the locker room scene and the flashback with his stepbrother, it is clear that he is not a bad person. He probably carries some childhood trauma on his shoulders - as it was hinted, when he lived with his dad - and Ye Xing Si must have been the stable point of love in his life so far. Whatever wrong things he did, I know where heis coming from. That box ring scene was very cruel to him, I hated Li Cheng for that. My guess is that their storyline will be about Ye Xing Si helping Fu Yong Jie to get rid of his demons and stalking obsessions and change. Actually, it sounds like an interesting story line for me.

Can't wait for the comments next week from drama SJW.
I have seen plenty of "stepbrothers=incest" complaints but way too few "age difference" judgements. Some peeps must be busy or sleeping.

The umpteenth time I come across with comments saying "romanticized stalking". Gawd, it was never romanticized. Every single stalking scene of Fu Yong Jie was shot in dark colours, shady angles and with sinister music on. He is a creepy, mentally damaged person with quite obvious childhood traumas behind him, and he is treated like that from day one. He is considered to be a borderline clinical case even by his own mum. His actions were condemned by everyone around, him attacking Mu Ren was even heavily over-sancioned by brutally beating him up in the box ring. Seriously, what happened to comprehension or is it hypersensitivity that even the existence of such character is unbearable to some?

Actually I would be interested in a domestic show about their life as a couple and how their rivalry in business affects their relationship, for example.

In episode 2 the ominous bed scene and Shi De's drunk conversation with the doc before that were pretty good demonstrations for Shi De's suffering.

You all know I've been a big fan of this drama/writer. And I've said it before that the ultimate reason of the…
That is pretty much my journey too. I was baffled by the implausibilities and some of the motivations and behaviours of the characters from the start, and I still am. But nevertheless I see several points in a different light now and some events seem to make more sense now than they did at the beginning. My favourite example is when Shu Yi ran away without saying a word when he saw Shi De with the blonde and the baby. Nearly everyone ranted about how out-of-caharcter that was and I wholeheartedly agreed with them. Knowing now what preceded before he decided to visit him, it is much less unlikely now. It is still not Lin Pei Yu's finest hour but I wait till the end. As some others previously said, this is a puzzle and we still don't know a lot of things.

The world literature is full of stories where the stepbrother marries the stepsister he is grown up with to general satisfaction, not least of the parents. When it is about two stepbrothers, it is "incest". I don't know how many people realize the bigotry and even homophobia behind this prejudiced stance.

I had zero expectations after the trailers but I was pleasantly surprised and I enjoy it so far, for all its flaws. Definitely not the usual History level but an inventive enough send up of the BL genres. I love its tendendy to self-mocking. The acting is fairly dynamic and solid, only Jun Peng and the fuyoshi ladies ham it up occasionally. As for MDL comments, nowadays you need microscope to find positive comments just about anything.

What do you mean by "basic instinct mess"? (I don't want to have to go back and watch the film!) It was strange,…
I did not intend to refer to the movie. It was sadistic. Fu Yong Jie is a creepy stalker who attacked Mu Ren, but he was punched back on set (so those insisting on eye for an eye should be content with that) plus he apologised. The poor kid clearly has issues and he needs help and care, not repeated beating up by an egomaniac yuppie just to show off his virility over a much weaker opponent. The way Mu Ren and Li Cheng were smiling at each other with glee and satisfaction over the boy wallowing in pain was downright disgusting. The locker room scene between Fu Yong Jie and Ye Xing Si was nice and heartwarming, but there should have been other ways to present it, considering how often Fu Yong Jie gets involved in fights in the first place.
